I agree. I wonder why he keeps saying “I want a running mate who will be ready for the presidency on day one” Make me wonder if once he’s inaugurated, he steps down. Then we have President Kamala Harris or Stacy Abrams. It’s not that far fetched.

I don't "fear" any presidential candidate. But what I don't want is open borders, high taxes, gun grabs and restrictive laws, pandering to socialist countries, etc, etc, etc. You said you're not a fan either. I assume we have at least some common ground here? BTW, enjoying the debate (although I really need to get some work done). Yup, no argument at all that the guy is a world class a-hole. But I still feel like I'd be way better off with him for four more years than with Biden.

It's still driven by obscenely high state property taxes. If you and I both paid, say $10,000,000 in property taxes, should we get a $10,000,000 deduction financed by the nation? If I was living in any of the lower tax states (majority), I'd vote against that.

Hurt me too, but I still paid less federal taxes. Why does NY state have among the highest property taxes in the nation? If I lived in most of the other states, I wouldn't want to subsidize NY and it's gross excess either. That's another win for Trump on a national scale.

The second amendment is there too. I feel pretty infringed upon.

You think Trump caused record unemployment? I blame China. Before the virus hit, employment was stellar, for all classes of people. Blaming Trump for that is something Pelosi would say. In fact, I believe she has. All a negotiating tactic. Trump says something extreme and starts the talks from there. Just like he did with NATO funding. After three and a half years of watching his playbook, I thought everyone has seen through that by now. Biden is on record of taking away AR's, raising taxes, increasing burdensome regulations, opening the borders and putting illegals on government assistance (and take money from hard working Americans to fund it) etc, etc, etc. It's a binary choice this November, vote for the uncouth boor who will try to continue the good times, or the doddering old fool who will affect your life and mine negatively. America truly is great. You get to vote for Biden, and I get to vote for Trump (not that it matters in NY). But when your AR gets taken away and your taxes rise, you'll have exactly what you want.

And just who might that be? I think the Republican Party is content with letting him be a bulldozer to implement change, and in four years, a smooth talker will emerge to maintain the changes. And what damage exactly? Record employment? Best economy maybe ever? Getting troops home after 17 years? Ending the ISIS reign in the lavant? For me, it’s about substance, not style. Obama had style and was hip, but had no substance.

Oh I agree, he has a pronounced personality deficit, but none of that changes my life. A lot of the things he has done has changed a lot for the better.
