  1. I was surprised at the fisher. When I walked up to it it was just several large pieces of the pelt with jet black hair. I’ve got a few pics that show one of them dragging the carcass with the unmistakeable long tail.
  2. Snuck up and pulled the card that’s 15 feet from the den. They all scurried in the den as soon as I stepped into the woods at 40 yds. 3600 pics and the card filled up last Thursday. Four kits, one runt (not in these pics) that’s much smaller than the others and mostly stays in one of the holes. The last pic is a different cam watching the coop. The eyes are our cat standing guard. Bummer, found a torn apart fawn next to the den. Also looks like Mommy brought back a small dead fisher. Circle of life. That middle pic has one gnawing on the fisher. We’ve been hanging on the deck this evening cooking and enjoying a couple of cold ones watching them alternately sleep in the sun or get up and have small bursts of playing. 70 yds away.
  3. She’s pretty easy on the eyes. Wouldn’t want her for a wife or girlfriend though, I’d never get away with anything!
  4. FINALLY! Only took me 11 months but today I took that boat I bought last year to Waneta Lake and finally had a successful shake down cruise with zero issues. Just fished for 10 minutes with nibbling perch. I wanted to spend time to more or less get used to it and learn everything. New lowrance GPS/fish finder with side scan, got the fore and aft livewells working as they should, and OMG how did I go 60 years of my life without a bow mounted trolling motor?! Cruised around for a little more than two hours, wide open, cruising speed, trolling speed, engine ran well at all speeds. Started nice too. Just a tap of the key on a warm engine. Ready for Bass season!
  5. Welcome to the board, Calvin fan here too.
  6. I have two Stihl trimmers. They fire up fast every time for years now. My smaller one is around 18 years old and still works hard. Bought the bicycle handled one a couple of years ago for better comfort on some larger areas. Also have a Stihl chainsaw (15 yrs old) and a blower (10 years old). Everything is super reliable and heavy duty. I wouldn't consider another brand.
  7. X2 on that. The last two scopes I bought were Vortex mid range scopes, but I have three mid range Nikon scopes and I love them.
  8. I do have a big havahart trap...
  9. Looks nice Cynthia, post pics when it’s done? That was a well earned bird. Congrats again to you and turkey master Bill!
  10. This is 60 yards from our bedroom window. It’s almost an annual event since before we moved here in ‘08. They weren’t born there as I put a cam on the den site over the winter, and as of a week ago, there was no activity. So momma moved them there which they will do. Pics are from my Nikon but it was hard to get a crisp focus with all the clutter near the den, especially at full zoom. I’ll pull the t-cam card when I can do it without disturbing them.
  11. Chef, read up on some of what Whitmer and Murphy have said. They back off a little when pressed, but that is their stated mindset.
  12. The business I work for got a notice from the DOL that if someone refuses to return to work it is required to notify the DOL. The notice further stated that the DOL would then terminate benefits. The employee could always appeal I presume, but they did say terminate.
  13. You know, in the beginning I was all in for the 14 days to flatten the curve. I was mostly in with 30 days to flatten the curve. They lost me when it turned into lockdown until there's a vaccine or treatment. Now I find it offensive to hear the few governors like Cuomo, Whitmer, Wolf, and Murphy say that they may consider ALLOWING some folks to start earning a meager living again. Like we should bow down and kiss their feet or something. Bunch of smug power trippers. BTW, those cops in Bellmawr came back after the cameras left and cited them anyways.
  14. This has been my worst year for allergies ever. On three different prescriptions at the moment. I don't know why I never thought of the mask idea. I'll be doing that at my next mowing!
  15. If a person refuses to come back to work, they have effectively quit and become ineligible for unemployment. There are various mandated (in NY) leaves they can take, but most of those are unpaid.
  16. My eye doc called me yesterday and rescheduled this Friday's appointment all the way out to Sept 1st!
  17. And I'm going to assume that mass quantities of alcohol were involved? I hope?
