  1. That was the best pulled pork I've ever made. Just happened to work out. Sometimes even a blind squirrel finds a nut.
  2. Can't even see the ham and Swiss hiding in there!
  3. Yes I tried my first coffee rub. Another thanks to turkey feathers
  4. Alright so I'm really mixing this up and also trying to twist up a little turkey feather style. I started early this am with a pork shoulder for 3 hours in the crock pot on high. I wasn't going to be home but wanted it to start cooking. Got home and fired up the smoker. Pulled out the pork and set it in the smoker. Grabbed some almonds and put them in the pork fat in the crockpot. Strained them out along with all that fatty stringy crap in the bottom and put them in some foil to set in the smoker. Stay tuned...
  5. Is there a chance that that is on woolhouse rd?
  6. Call it what you want, it all sounds good to me. I think I'll have to fire up the smoker tomorrow and make some slaw.
  7. I guess the quiche habit started when we had laying hens. Also why I always make pickled eggs.
  8. Come on leftover whatever jammed into a quiche. Nothing wrong with that, Pulled pork quiche, venison stew (drained) then thrown into a quiche with horseradish cheese, bacon tenderloin of anything cubed up and thrown into a quiche, hamburgers with onion thrown into a quiche with ketchup , leftover smoked ham cubed up and thrown into a quiche, reuben quiche, I could keep going but....Apricot? really? I'd try it I guess but I'm skeptical. You can make not gurley quiche if you do it right.
  9. How did I miss national beer day? Man! and it's bedtime already.
  10. Ive heard my creation called a cuban but Whats a carolina? I'd probly like it.
  11. My new favorite sandwich is pulled pork with ham and cheese and coleslaw right on the sandwich.
  12. That's a good question. I see them online selling for quite a penny. I'd be willing to trade for something if you want to come and get it. Hunting gear in trade could be an option. I'm very new to hunting. The risk is does it work? If it doesn't there are parts available to make it work. It looks like its in good shape but I don't know a lot about them.
  13. I'm from New York City. I'm moving upstate in early July. Where ya planning to move to? I'm one deer season old when it comes to hunting so new to it also.
  14. Confirms I don't like fruit in my beer
  15. K. I apologize. I think I was being a jerk all around the other day, not just here.
  16. I have a vintage servel gas fridge for sale. Probably good for a camp with no electric.
  17. I may be wrong but that's what I was suggesting. I could post to a hundred sites adding links to something that I was getting commission on selling and not be a computer. Just be honest about what your intentions are. I like to be informed of new products, but don't like feeling snookered. Again I may be wrong.
  18. Finally back to the beer thread! I had the plague (aka the flu) and got my legs ripped right out from under me. One morning, fine. By evening couldn't even stand up. Spent at least 16 hours a day sleeping. Anyways it's good to be back
  19. I'll be a noob bow hunter no matter what is allowed so look out! lol
  20. I've only shot three bullets in my life. One at a target, one through the lungs of a doe at maybe 20 yards and one through the lung of a buck at 10 yards. I wait till they are close enough to be sure I can shoot them in the right spot or I don't shoot at all. And close enough for me is 10-20 yards
