  1. 220 savage....threw a few down range today and she's hitting right where I need it! Sent from my SM-A716V using Tapatalk
  2. We just did a short gameplan....we are walking in on the logging road around 6:25. My Dad is 74 so going in when it's dark, dark isn't his thing. These deer will be literally bedded right off our entrance road and most likley wave at us as we pass by. They are so used to farm equipment and people we won't bother them one bit. The only thing I need to be careful of is spooking them out of our back field.....it cut soy beans right now so if they are there and see us getting to the one blinds they will beat feet. 3. What outfitter if you don't mind me asking....there is a local Western New York guy who is a outfitter in Kansas was wondering if you went through him. His outfit is RTO?? Sent from my SM-A716V using Tapatalk
  4. We will have 4 guys hunting the property. My Dad will be positioned in his escape rt. Stand. As soon as the neighbors get moving the lower bowl in front of him becomes a super highway of deer vacating the neighbors property. I'll be in a blind hopefully with both my boys.... set off a 9 acre cut bean field tucked into a natural funnel under some pines. Lastly my buddy will be in a section of hardwoods near a know bedding area. It's always fun if we score some deer as a group, but like most have already said opening day of gun is more than just deer hunting...it's the comradery of the group that I can't wait for my boys to experience on Sat. 5. Is he or she still dragging?? Sent from my SM-A716V using Tapatalk
  6. We don't do Fridays in WNY! Sent from my SM-A716V using Tapatalk
  7. Did you end up finding the 3" sst's Sent from my SM-A716V using Tapatalk
  8. And if I remember correctly that was a monster to boot! Sent from my SM-A716V using Tapatalk
  9. Take it back again.. package it up and just say nothing is wrong. Screw these big box stores.....like ya said they sure as shit will sell us the camera....but wash their hands of it after it leaves the store. Start dealing with @Phade....always top notch service through him Sent from my SM-A716V using Tapatalk
  10. Was this the first year huting this lease? Both are awesome Bucks and what a great experience for both you and your dad. Sent from my SM-A716V using Tapatalk
  11. Same problem my Dad has....he eats before he leaves and if he plans on being there 5-6 hrs. his sandwich usually gone by 9.....it cracks us up everytime. Sent from my SM-A716V using Tapatalk
  12. For longer than a morning sit it's usually a water, Ham Sammy with cheese, Halloween candy, maybe a pop tart. I have learned to always have a bottle of water in my backpack. Helps if you get that random tickle in your throat and stops you from coughing. Sent from my SM-A716V using Tapatalk
  13. Talk to me about the sight.....Hha optimizer? I am making the switch this winter to one. Do you just set for a yardage like 25 and adjust high or low from there? Or do you actually dial it in for the know yardage the animal is at? Sent from my SM-A716V using Tapatalk
  14. Well freaking done and a buck to boot! My boys would be arm wrestling over who gets the euro mount in there room! Also glad they recovered quickly. Sent from my SM-A716V using Tapatalk
  15. Worth every minute going to help your son.....my Dad would leave his hunt in a heartbeat to help and I will do the same for my boys one day!! Well Done Cabin fever......you will be paid back 19 fold with a monster of your own! Sent from my SM-A716V using Tapatalk
  16. I can understand OBJ nothing playing late....but what the hell was Henderson doing on the bench. Stafford was a complete mess last night. Sent from my SM-A716V using Tapatalk
  17. I would do the same if it was only a few times a year.....but since it's all season for us....everyone on the property shoots a 220. The best part is they aren't cheap and neither is the ammo. You can be into a real nice rifle and ammo for almost half the price of a 200. Sent from my SM-A716V using Tapatalk
  18. The good part is in shotgun only areas you can shoot a shotgun with a rifled barrel.....as you know they shoot a sabot vs. a slug. If you ever get a chance to put a few down range from a Savage 220 I think you will be quite impressed. Plenty of guys on this forum shoot the 220 and it is an Absolute tack driver. 19. AWESOME Story!! Next summer we are starting our journey to either find some nice area on state land in PA.....or secure a lease that my oldest and my buddies son so then boys can hunt as 8 year olds. We have stressed to both boys there is alot that goes into deer hunting and practice and preparation will be key for them to be properly prepared. Sad we have to travel to PA for this to become a reality......but at least we aren't to far from the border and the ever huge Allegeny forest. Sent from my SM-A716V using Tapatalk
  20. Your no fun.....I thought we could play fill in the ending until southern zone gun season opens on saturday....this would make the week fly by. Sent from my SM-A716V using Tapatalk
  21. Man ......these ads are bringing out the true colors of the membership. Sent from my SM-A716V using Tapatalk
  22. Or just plain ole........... Sent from my SM-A716V using Tapatalk
  23. Mono....I use a cheap one from Walmart and love it. Leave it there all season. Was just thinking I need to pick a few more up for our other soft sided hub blinds. Sent from my SM-A716V using Tapatalk
  24. I think someone went through this issue a few years.......found out it was his teenage kid using the computer when he wasn't around. My ads are currently for stuff I searched on amazon. Sent from my SM-A716V using Tapatalk
