Turned the velcro release into a backup. Went with a Scott shark with a buckle and it's awesome. Sent from my SM-A716V using Tapatalk

Most importantly shoot multiple models and brands. The most expensive is not always the best so don't be fooled by price. No need to shoot a 70-80lb bow to kill a deer...50-60 is just fine and my guess is 85% of the guys and gals on this site are pulling less than 70lbs. Getting setup and selecting a bow that fits you will be a lengthy process so put aside some time. Just a few suggestions on specific things you may want to think about for ypur setup. Peep size How many pins you want on your sight. Pin size(.019 is a good size for hunting) Type of rest...alot of guys shoot whisker biscuits or drop aways....read up on both. Type of release....if going with a wrist style stay away from velcro(they are loud) Sent from my SM-A716V using Tapatalk

My wife has her license and has taken a doe with a 30-30 at around 70 yards. She would spend time all summer with me setting stands....checking cameras....so she decided to get her license and complete the full circle. Now that we have young boys she has switched her focus to them and enjoys some piece and quiet when the boys head to the woods with me.....but she plans on getting back in the game next fall for at least a couple hunts. What are you going to mount to it? I believe they make a rifles barrel for that gun as well. Years and years ago I was going to grab a saddle and barrel and turn it into my primary deer gun. Just went a cheaper route and kept that as a stock bird gun. Sent from my SM-A716V using Tapatalk

I have the same gun....they aren't tapped and need a bsquare. Sent from my SM-A716V using Tapatalk

I may need to make my way out as well! Absolutely gutted with a phone call I received mid-bills game last night. My neighbor, buddy, viet nam vet, one hell of a proud marine and probably the brightest part of the last years an adopted grandfather to my boys........passed away unexpectedly yesterday afternoon. This guy was the mayor of our neighborhood, took charge of any project and worked with you for however long it may have taken to complete. I am at a loss for words as I type this......but am ok knowing my buddy Jack is resting comfortably looking over all of us for eternity!! Sent from my SM-A716V using Tapatalk- 9078 replies

Man that's my fear.....my boys eat like machines already and they are 7 and 5. Two deer in the freezer this year so we will see how that treats us. They eat from the minute they wake up....until about 5 minutes before bed. Sent from my SM-A716V using Tapatalk

New view for tonight. My 7 year old made the call a week ago after the cell cam that's on the lower level of this area was sending pics pretty frequently. He said let's put a blind above where they are crossing...so thats what we did this afternoon. This is setup more for muzzleloader....but hey since we are here we may as well stay till legal closing time. Sent from my SM-A716V using Tapatalk -
There is no comparison....220 hands down will out preform the 870 all day. With a solid rest I wouldn't second guess I pushing it past 150. Sent from my SM-A716V using Tapatalk

Let it lay....treeguy is right. 6 hrs. For liver, I would wait a solid 8 for gut and being already bumped once. I accidently bumped my opening day buck.....it would have died in its first bed 100 yards inside the wood...but when it got bumped it headed down into a huge ravine. The drag after finding it was the worst ever. Sent from my SM-A716V using Tapatalk -

My 7 year old shoots a Bear.....and my 5 year old shoots a diamond. There are alot of options out there nowadays. The Diamond Infinite edge is a great bow....and they hold their value as Jeremy has said. Sent from my SM-A716V using Tapatalk
