Belo, keep all of those things going and keep the oppressive unconstitutional agencies (EPA, Education, Energy, TSA, etc.) closed. -

Belo, you ignore the fact it is currently unknown what effect even traces of THC in the bloodstream has on sobriety and focus, as well as it's possible amplification effect on other substances used when there is still THC in the blood stream. More data needs to be examined and more research needs to be done, but legalization will happen first regardless. -

From your own link: Overall, the number of fatalities involving positive tests for marijuana has nearly doubled since recreational legalization in 2014, from 75 that year to 125 in 2016 and 139 last year. Colorado law specifies that drivers with five nanograms of active tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) in a milliliter of their blood can be prosecuted for driving under the influence of marijuana. A striking finding in the new study was the death toll involving people driving around with a cocktail of drugs in their bodies. In one year, deaths where drivers tested positive for cannabis, any alcohol and other drugs tripled — from eight in 2016 to 25 last year. “More concerning is why people are combining” marijuana, alcohol and other drugs, she said. “The combination is very concerning.” Before fatal drug-related crashes, “drivers do tend to combine,” he said. “When you combine, it will amplify your impairment.” It seems to me we need to recognize these substances are used by people to impair their abilities, especially when they combine everything they can get their hands on, to become as highly impaired as they can possibly get. NY currently wants to restrict your 2nd A rights as much as possible, restrict free speech with hate speech laws and sue people who's religious beliefs don't allow them to comply with PC demands. NY wants people to think they have freedom because they can smoke pot, abort babies, marry a gay lover and refuse to comply with the police. Basically, you're free to do whatever they let you do, none of which restricts the government's attempts to control you. Actually, it enhances it's ability to do so. -

Some states have already moved to remove 2nd Amendment rights from people who have permission to get medical pot. Anti-gun states will never pass up an opportunity to take someone's gun rights. -

I've heard Colorado has a huge DUI problem since weed was legalized. -
What are those rounds? The one on the left a .38-55 or .45-70? The rest would be much bigger.

Gotta be a catch to her asking me. LOL!

Gas Prices are much lower in other states. Why?
Rattler replied to Rattler's topic in General Chit Chat
NY adds .45 to a gallon in state tax and the federal govt adds another .19 per gallon. We pay .64 per gallon in taxes. That's more than $12 to put 20 gallons in your tank. The govt is making more money per gallon than the oil companies do. -
Check out this list of nationwide gas prices. Why is NY so high? Taxes? https://www.gasbuddy.com/USA My area is currently $2.79

You could have used it as a two shot rifle by putting one in the chamber and only one in the tube. I do this with my Marlin .35 Rem when shooting 150 grain soft points. They are loads that shoot really fast and flat with less recoil. Great for deer and coyote out to 200 yards.

Lots of Navy guys were in Nam serving on PBR's and saw lots of action. Lucky you guys weren't put on one of those.

Cuomo can make pot legal in NY to get more tax revenue, but it's still illegal at the Federal level, so he's actually promoting criminal activity while making money from it. In reality, he's breaking the law. BTW, your employer can still fire you if you test positive for it. Legal alcohol is the cause of highway DUI deaths, the need for alcohol abuse clinics, deadly medical issues, and a huge law enforcement expense regulating it, keeping it away from minors and preventing people from making their own. All of this costs taxpayers millions. Anyone think legal pot will be any different? Making it legal simply accepts all of the above issues will double. I believe Cuomo wants to legalize weed for the same reason he supports illegal immigrants, they tend to vote for leftist democrats. -
If you look at 9mm or even .380 ACP 1911 style pistols, you will find many that are much smaller and lighter than any 1911 in .45 ACP. Are you adamant about carrying a .45 ACP?

Look at photos of people on farms 100 years ago. Very thin. Lots of physical activity every day. Look at civil war soldiers. Even civil war families were thin. Look at photos of average Americans in the 40's and 50's. few were obese. they had more activity in their lives and the food was more natural. Today, I struggle to find food that is low in sodium.

Any diet, without exercise, is worthless. The weight will just return when you begin to eat normally again. When you exercise, your body metabolism increases, burns more calories and tones all the muscles. This doubles the amount of weight loss you can ever achieve by merely limiting caloric intake. The big plus is, you can actually eat more (of the right foods) when you get some exercise while losing weight. Also losing weight is not as important as measurements. Reshaping your body is much more desirable than losing muscle mass where you want it, like your chest and arms.

Yes. The stainless Remlins suffer from the same quality issues. -
45 70 Marlin 1895 stainless ? Any problems
Rattler replied to Hunter007's topic in General Chit Chat
There have been quite a few quality issues with all Remington firearms lately. The Marlin (Remlin) rifles are no exception. They are not as nice as the older Marlins and do not seem to have had the same level of expertise added to their manufacture. I much prefer the old Marlins as the wood is nicer, the triggers are better, the bluing is nicer and the actions are smoother. -

The trouble with solar in the Catskill Mtns is not much sun to charge the unit every day. We get a lot of cloudy or snowy days every winter. No solar energy system around here is sufficient to work most of the time. They all need a back up system and that's what runs about 75% of the time in the winter.

It arrived on 12/24. I put the batteries in it and tried it out. Very impressed. Seems to be of very good quality and has a 3 year guarantee. Plenty of light in the cabin on the lowest setting. Can probably use it to light the whole back deck at night on the highest setting. Glad you posted this. P.S. I also like the "red" mode and the SOS blinking red lights. LOL!
