Why would anyone spend $1600.00 and travel to Minnesota to shoot a bobcat , when you can get one in the county you live in ?

Pete's Steakhouse in Lake Placid has the best onion soup I've ever tasted. The Culinary Institute Of America has great restaurants.

I went to Katz's Deli a couple of years ago for their famous pastrami on rye sandwich. I think I paid $15.00 for the privilege. Did you know that was the location for the movie scene where Meg Ryan is sitting with Billy Crystal when she starts yelling ....Yes , yes , yes. I believe it was the movie "When Harry Met Sally ".

Killing big game routinely with a bow at 100 yards is quite a feat . I wonder how many miss or wound big game animals at that range.

I stopped at the local deli today and was swarmed by them. I could hear them as soon as I got out of my vehicle. One of those red eyed buggers landed on my shoulder. Maybe I should go back there and grab a few for fishing bait.

If your not sure , put more trail cameras out there..........you never know what you might come across.

Soprano star James Gandolfini died yesterday of an apparent heart attack. One of my favorite HBO shows. Ironically , he passed away in Sicily.

There always seems to be a body of water nearby when I see the snapping turtles along the road. Is this to benefit the young when they hatch or because the female left the water to lay her eggs ?

I too have been seeing snapping turtles along the roads. I even stopped to move one off the road. I always thought that this is the time the female snapping turtles are trying to find areas to lay their eggs.

You can eat those puffballs we used to stomp on as kids ? How about the mushrooms that grow on the side of a dead stump ? There seems to be many different varieties of mushrooms and I wouldn't know the poisonous ones from the edible ones.
