  1. If you ever find yourself in this predicament , your going to need a lawyer to represent you anyway....let him decipher the language. Don't sweat it.
  2. What if the police / peace officer is retired............nothing ?
  3. That's a nice thought !
  4. I would like to take a moment to clarify something. I have hunted deer with shotguns , rifles and compound bows. I also own a old recurve , crossbow and pistols. When bow season opens , I take my compound bow out. When gun season rolls around , I take out a firearm. I have no solidarity with either bow or crossbow hunters. There are plenty of days to deer hunt with different implements to use. Although I don't always agree with the DEC , I believe they do the best they can making everyone happy. If that means taking a few days from one group so another group can hunt , so be it. The DEC isn't Burger King...you can't have it your way. Personally , I couldn't care less if you still hunted past my stand/ground blind with a crossbow , compound bow , firearm or a spear gun for that matter. My original comments were about the similarities between a crossbow and gun.....nothing else. Looking back in hindsight, maybe I should have stated that when I pick up a crossbow ,it feels like a gun but shoots like a bow. I hope I got my point across .
  5. 1) Vertical bows are aimed vertically , not horizontally like a crossbow regardless of the sights/scopes. 2) There are no triggers on a vertical bow . You need to shoot fingers , tab or a release . 3) bolts are bolts.....arrows are arrows. They are not interchangeable.
  6. Just a guess......maybe he wants to hit his target ?
  7. Some lawyers offer a free one time consultation depending on the nature of the case. ( i.e. divorce , bankruptcy , criminal , real estate etc) Give one a call.....can't hurt and good luck.
  8. I also gun hunt from a tree........am I still cheating ?
  9. I was explaining the similarities between crossbows and guns.........not vertical bows as you call them. I guess you missed the point.
  10. "According to who "? The vast majority of bow hunters in this country hunt from trees. It's the most productive way . If you don't know that or can't admit it.............well , I don't know what to tell ya.
  11. Say a prayer for me.....I can use all the prayers I can get .
  12. That's where bow hunters normally hunt from.....trees. Stalking game is normally done with firearms.
  13. A crossbow has a stock like a gun , has a fore grip like a gun , it's aimed horizontally like a gun , has a scope like a gun , has a trigger like a gun and has a trigger guard like a gun. Still think the crossbow is nothing like a gun whatsoever ? By the way , crossbows shoot bolts not arrows .
  14. He's good , but my favorite is still Joe Arpaio from Arizona .
  15. Would you admit that shooting a crossbow , is more like shooting a shotgun than it is a compound or traditional bow ?
  16. Cool story greybeard.................Thanks.
  17. True............all you have to do is just keep walking.
  18. I'm not sure if this has been previously posted , but there is an article on morel mushrooms on page 22 of the May 2013 issue of New York Outdoor News. Although I don't care for mushrooms , it was an interesting article just the same. I learned that they can be found under dead elm trees and in old apple orchards. Also when lilacs are about to flower is when you can find these morel's. It also states that it a highly additive hobby.
  19. Wow.........that's pretty exciting. Did the snake rattle when it saw you ?
  20. Pall Malls.......whew. No filters for the Hard Core smoker.
  21. Keep it up.............remember that if you fail , you just threw away the hardest 20 days. You can do it !!!!
  22. Cool............thanks for sharing.
  23. I always liked the circular side burners for when we lose power. At least I can make hot water for instant coffee because we have an electric oven. Went out and bought a Generac generator this year so that problem is solved. They had Brinkman grills selling at Home Depot for $99.00 during the Memorial Day weekend. I think they were the 4 burner models and they were flying out of the store. Home Depot said it was a manufacture defect.....something to do with the color.
  24. I found this out the hard way. Why do you think there is a circular hole in the cabinet floor if it hangs on a bracket ? Maybe not all the Weber models come with a scale ? Thanks for your reply.
