  1. I like at the end of the show when Phil begins grace before dinner with...."Bow your heads........Thank you Lord for another day on planet earth".
  2. Best of luck tomorrow, Noodle one.
  3. " Float like a butterfly , punch like a flea "
  4. You could be right about that in certain parts of the state. However , I recall one spring while walking thru a field , I came upon a nest on the ground and accidently stepped on a poult , killing it. I didn't realize the nest was there because the grass was high. At this point the hen came charging at me flapping her wings in her attempt to scare me away from the nest. When I looked down , I saw about 10 poults running around my feet in the tall grass. I left the area immediately and felt like s--- for killing the poult. The only thing I don't remember is if it was in the beginning or the end of May.
  5. It's hunting related , but you never see them shoot anything. I guess that's why it appeals to the non hunting public.
  6. I don't see it affecting the gobblers. My concern would be the survival of the poults.
  7. Your absolutely right . My wife's a non hunter but loves the show..............preppy girls .
  8. I realize some episodes are more appealing than others or some don't make much sense , but maybe that's why it's so popular. I guess it's not to be taken too seriously. Have you seen the TV ratings for this show ? It's off the charts !
  9. I know what you mean. It took a while for the show to grow on me. I get a kick out of Phil.....Happy, Happy, Happy !
  10. I didn't want to ruin it for anyone who subscribes to the magazine and didn't read it yet..........sorry.
  11. The "nut job" remarks gave me a good laugh............Thanks !!
  12. I just received my Summer 2013 issue of Deer & Deer Hunting which has a cover photo of Willie Robertson. In the issue , Willie is interviewed by Alan Clemons regarding the popular reality show...........interesting read.
  13. I too knew a guy who was hit by a deer while riding his motorcycle up on a mountain road. The deer slammed into his foot pedals , nearly knocking him off his bike . I remember him showing me all the deer hair stuck in the engine/frame. He said it scared the s--t out of him.
  14. There is absolutely nothing wrong with erring on the side of caution.............in fact , I applaud it . If there were more hunters like him , there would be less hunting related accidents and fatalities. Like you alluded to , it's not always about the kill but the hunt that's enjoyable.
  15. Congrats to you both. I like the part in the beginning of your story were " He didn't know if it was safe to take the shot so he didn't ". Sounds like the teacher and her pupil deserve an A+ .
  16. One year I shot a gobbler during a downpour.............chase him up a mountain to do it .
  17. Sure is an improvement..............nothing wrong with having a little pride in the appearance of your lawn . Also adds a little more value to your property . Nice house by the way.
  18. Isn't Romulin near you ? I remember seeing the road sign and thinking of the Star trek series.
  19. You said ......" Things are about to get interesting ". Can't stand the suspense !
