Just got home was up at my house for 5 days hunted in between the rain saw a spike(no shot) had a doe at 13yrds. one branch in the way.I left the branch there in july when i was trimming lanes.I thought it would be to open if i cut it. Heading back up in 12 days for the crossbow/muzzle loader opener.I have 9 days planned for that hunt so hopefully i'll get it done then.

Taking a bite out of a fresh raw heart?

Couldn’t you stick some leaves in it mouth like other cultural’s do to honor there kill? Seems much safer. -

Ya i try to stretch my vacation out. I’ve been hunting since Tuesday(NZ). Next up is a 9 day crossbow/muzzle loader hunt. Then a 12 day rifle hunt. I’ve killed a ton of deer with the bow none with the crossbow and very few with guns. -

I’m in a new spot this afternoon closer to my house. It was covered with fresh deer signs. Only two days left so I’m not going to be picky. Good luck everyone -

Was going to head out this morning but it’s pouring I have rain gear but just not into it. Looks good for an afternoon hunt. -
I got up here a little late last night and slept in. Woke up with this little girl munching on a test plot I planted. Hopefully this rain lets up and I can get out later.

It’s a small piece of property like fireneck place there’s little parking areas at the end of the road. The thing about those to spots is there’s always a chance a big boy is going to come in from the neighborhood looking for does, but that’s true about any place you hunt on Long Island. I’m not sure if you live far up Island but take a ride and walk down you’ll be out in 15-20 minutes tops. Good luck out there!!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I was out back practicing trap bedding it wasn’t as difficult as I thought it would be. One thing for sure I’m getting a set of trap setters my wrist are shot for that. I used a duke trap, but on the line I’m using mb550’s just didn’t want to mess with the wax also I’m going to use pipe insulation under the pan. I have three spots picked out on my property one is going to be a dirt hole, flat and a step down set. Going with yote pee to hopefully keep the fox and cat away. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Lost my mom last year and my dad this morning. They where great parents that did what they could raising five kids. They lived a pretty good life got to see there kids grow up and all there grandkids and two great grandkids. If it wasn’t for my dad I probably never got into hunting or fishing. I still think of the Sunday crow hunts with him and my older brother whenever I see or here a crow. The only thing he never took me hunt for was waterfowl,he loved it more then any other type of hunting. I’m not sure why and never really cared about it. Anyway I’m just sitting here thinking of them and thought I’d share. Shellback for 14 years Our last fishing trip Rest In Peace mom and dad till we meet again in heaven.
