  1. I found a 2012 Kabota B26 with 6500hrs. comes with bucket, forks backhoe and trailer for $20,000. Does anyone have any experience with one? Does this sound to good to be true or a decent asking price? I'm still leaning towards new but thought i'd ask.
  2. Those are 165gr. Miester hard cast lead bullets loaded with 13.0gr. of Alliant red dot shooting just under 1600fps. the group is 21/2" at 50yrds. with a scoped marlin 3030.I started testing at 7gr. and went up 5grs at a time checking for barrel leading. The lower speeds had leading until 9grs.[1400fps.] at 13grs. there where trace amount nothing my boresnake couldn't handle. These are to help me practice shooting with open sights.I'll be shooting steel at 50,75 and 100 yrds. Like buckmaster said it cost penny's to shoot. I'm reading a book on casting your own bullets.
  3. Had this day planned since I got back from vacation. I found a load my 3030 likes with hard cast bullets. I put the peep sight back on and will be using these to practice with. There not bullseye accurate but good enough and cheap. I loaded another 100rds. for my next trip up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I found out the other day they do a fall stocking here on long island, but to late we have hard water now[learning the terms!!!!] I'll be out of the work force and out of here[LI] for good this time next year then it's on fulltime hunting, fishing and shooting. looking forward to the spring to try and get my first trout on the fly.
  5. The backstrap/loin goes from the neck down into the hind legs. I break the hind legs down by sections sirloin tip, bottom round, rump and what some call top round/eye of round but tips the end of the loin.I keep them together because there very tender almost a pinkish color.I I'm not doing a neck roast i'll do the same up front.
  6. Thanks to you I switch over to the barnes harvester and blackhorn combo.Knocked a doe down this year hit her high and back but it didn't matter she dropped in her tracks. When i butchered her the bruise went from the top almost around the cavity.Very impressive !!! I used a heavier bullet

  9. I have two pairs of dryshod boots. The southland’s on the left and the nosho gusset XT’s on the right. I got them this year and wore the southland’s in the spring and early bow and just recently the gusset’s during the rifle and late muzzle loader up in the ADK’s so far I like both walked six plus miles in both and went through snow and ice cold streams sat for a few hours in 20-30* weather with the gusset’s and never got a chill. They seem to be built like a tank, but only time will tell. I like my mucks but they seem to leak after a year or two. The southland’s are size 9 and the gusset’s size 10. I just wore my poly liners and a pair of socks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!! I had a pretty rocky year, but it was the trips up north that leveled things out. Didn't have any luck turkey hunting but enjoyed the time in the woods.Started fly fishing which I really like even though I only caught bluegills. Took a nice doe during the muzzle loader season. No luck during the rifle season or late muzzy, but saw quite a few deer on my property.Going to try and get back up and do a little more serious trapping. Best Wishes in this up coming year everyone !!!!!
  11. Skinner makes nice peep sights http://www.skinnersights.com/winchester_26.html Also check SX sights just give them a call before you buy and ask if the rear sight goes on the receiver or the barrel https://www.xssights.com/Products.aspx?CAT=8508 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I wanted to walk my property line(all 10 acres) to see if anything was going on. I just got back from pulling my traps. It doesn’t look like anything was moving through here deer or fur last night. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  15. Got out at 2pm sat until 4 it was really nice out 40* light west wind a few flurries no deer seen. I’m starting to understand the wind on my property I think any west wind and I don’t see anything south or southeast I see them or that’s the way it’s been this year. I’m going to start keeping records of wind and sightings. I did see a bunch of snowshoe hare tracks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I got into the old school knifes last year mostly trapper style knives. Lately my buck stockman has been finding its way into my pocket. I’m up at my house and have a few traps set. I get a smile every morning putting my case trapper in my pocket. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Thanks for posting another video. I struggle with tree ID even thought I have books and watch videos it seems tree and plants are hard to identify. Keep them coming [emoji106] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Got out a little later than I wanted to 3pm snowing and 34* no tracks on the way in hunted a stand in the middle of my property had two fat does coming in around 4 when a truck/plow slammed by and they took off. I had the crossbow ready just needed a clear shot. It was pretty cool hunting in snow camo I felt invisible. Hopefully tomorrow I can get it done. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Glad it all worked out. If you wind up needing the bullets let me know. I’m not going to use them. Definitely agree a good group of people on this site. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Got out at 2:30 this afternoon 22* no real wind. Headed back by my now empty pond. Didn’t see anything, but an owl that almost caused me to shart me draws. On the way in I grabbed the sd cards. It was a pretty good buck I saw on the way out last night. From the looks of all the turds and the pics he’s coming out there regularly. I have a treestand set up behind the camera if the wind is right I’m hunting it for the rest of the week. That’s a dog proof trap to his left. It has cat food in it. 21. If you’re going to reload let me know,I have a pack of nightmare 55 gr bullets. I’m not sure about the brass but I’ll check when I get get home next week. I don’t shoot my 22-250 anymore it needs a new barrel and I’m not into getting it done. https://www.midsouthshooterssupply.com/item/0000422455sp500/varmint-nightmare-22-caliber-point224-diameter-55-grain-boat-tail-soft-point-500-count Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Sat from 2pm until 4pm 29* cold wind. Didn’t see anything until I was walking out it was to dark to see but definitely a buck under the pine trees. I let him pass then came out. I’ll check that area out tomorrow morning. I think it came from a main run up the path. Hopefully he’ll stick around I’d love to get a buck with my muzzy or crossbow.
