Hit the park this morning, but I forgot to bring my orange up with me. I just stayed close to my truck and scouted around. Didn’t see anything, but I did find a few fresh scraps basically in the same area’s as last year. Left around 11 headed into town to pick up some orange hat/gloves. I wanted a camo orange vest but they seem to be hard to come by. It’s pouring out so I’m done for today and maybe tomorrow. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
I tried sighting in my tc renegade with the sx peep sights and came to the conclusion I suck with open sight. My group looked like a shotgun pattern. I started at 30yrds. And never made it any further. I even tried the lead sled.I even tried my 3030 again I’m done the scope it back on. I couldn’t hunt with confidence shooting like that. After two four hour sits I’m ready to stretch my legs. Going to hit the park tomorrow if it’s not raining to hard. Time to breakout the smoke pole. There’s no way I’m walking around with the crossbow. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I just noticed there where two keychain flashlights in the box. Good for the night time squirt. The second light is a cabela’s it burns through those cv123 batteries fast. I might switch to the orange light after I use up the case(24) batteries I just bought. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
What type of bait/lures do you use at this time of the year? i'm heading up for a week and have two days dedicated to fishing.

Got my lights and battery's today for $12 these are pretty good lights with a low,med and high.I'm charging one now but it seems solid. These are an upgrade from the harbor freight freebeezz Thanks Nomad -
I'm out on the island and can count the times i've seen a rabbit while shed hunting on two fingers. The fox population got knocked down a few years ago by mange and never really bounced back. What kind of tip are you going to use? It's early in the season to give up on deer hunting.Halloween was always the starter for me.

I use tomcat it says it will not harm other animals.i haven't found any dead munks like i do the mice, but everything i've read just now says it will kill other animals.I'm going to reread the bucket this weekend.if anything i'll set up more bucket traps until i'm up there fulltime then i'll get a few Mainecoon cats. http://saferodentcontrol.org/site/wildlife/

I was talking to a guy the other day.We both have houses in the same general area upstate. We got to talking about the chipmunk explosion this year, after a few minutes i realized he was the type that wouldn't hurt a fly.I was telling him that the munks keep emptying my mouse bait boxes and i can't believe the poison doesn't kill them.He said it does later when they eat it there just filling the cheek pockets in there mouths and taking it back to there nest.I found that interesting. He also said by poisoning a rodent i was killing other animals that eat the poisoned rodent??? He said mostly owls and hawks is there any truth to this?? That's the last thing i would ever want to do.I do find mice all around my house and shed both dead or half dead.

They always find the cams.I watched one this spring walk down a path stop turn and go straight to my cam sniffed it and went on his way.So far none have destroyed any yet.

I think there's a lot to both except the yotes had a higher price on there skin last season and a lot of guys where trapping.I normally get at least one or two yotes daily on my cams and driveway camera not one since the spring.I also haven't heard any howling at all this year.I don't get any reds up by me but have plenty of owls working on the munks.

I’d go with a guide for the first outing it’s cheaper then loading up with decoys, calls ect..... there’s some good guides out here I think one is a member on here(bruno1) if that’s not your thing look up the dec wetlands(permit needed). How do you plan on getting the birds if they go in the water? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
