I'm going to be using my crossbow for the first time hunting this year.I'll be hunting out of a ladder or hang-on stand.I feel more comfortable shooting off a rest then free handed.I have one stand with a shooting rail, but want something i can use on the others. 8. I’ve been doing 12-18 hour fasting 7 days a week for three months not only did I lose 42 pounds. My doctor cut my diabetes meds in half. She said keep it up and I’ll be off them altogether. Another 12-20 pounds and I’ll be a happy hunter. I’m going to try the carnivore diet for two weeks to see if it will knock the last few pounds off. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I’ve been using a gerber for years. This year I’m going old school with a buck 112 or a case trapper. I got hooked on the trappers over the winter so that will mostly be the first one out this year. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  11. I just got an email from the DEC about that. DEC Delivers press release DEC Delivers Press Release - Information to keep you connected and informed from the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation Share or view as a web page || Update preferences or unsubscribe DEC Confirms Epizootic Hemorrhagic Disease in Putnam and Orange County Deer Disease is Not Transmissible to Humans; New Yorkers Encouraged to Report Sick or Dead Deer to DEC The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) today confirmed that several white-tailed deer in the towns of Nelsonville and Cold Spring in Putnam County and near Goshen in Orange County died after contracting Epizootic Hemorrhagic Disease (EHD). EHD is a viral disease of white-tailed deer that cannot be contracted by humans. EHD virus is carried by biting midges, small bugs often called no-see-ums or 'punkies.' Once infected with EHD, deer usually die within 36 hours. The disease is not spread from deer to deer or from deer to humans. DEC wildlife biologists collected half a dozen deer carcasses in Putnam County and submitted the carcasses to the Wildlife Health Unit for necropsy. Tissue samples were sent to the Animal Health Diagnostic Center at Cornell University where the preliminary diagnosis of EHD was confirmed. DEC also sent samples from four deer from Orange County where the preliminary diagnosis of EHD was confirmed. The EHD virus was first confirmed in New York in 2007 in Albany, Rensselaer, and Niagara counties, and in Rockland County in 2011. EHD outbreaks are most common in the late summer and early fall when midges are abundant. EHD symptoms include fever, hemorrhage in muscle or organs, swelling of the head, neck, tongue, and lips. A deer infected with EHD may appear lame or dehydrated. Frequently, infected deer will seek out water sources and many succumb near a water source. There is no treatment for nor means to prevent EHD. The dead deer do not serve as a source of infection for other animals. EHD outbreaks do not have a significant long-term impact on deer populations. EHD is endemic in the southern states where there are annual outbreaks, so some southern deer have developed immunity. Generally, in the northeast, EHD outbreaks occur sporadically and deer in New York have no immunity to this virus. Consequently, most EHD-infected deer in New York are expected to die. In the north, the first hard frost kills the midges that transmit the disease, ending the EHD outbreak. Hunters should not handle or eat any deer that appears sick or acts strangely. DEC will continue to monitor the situation. Sightings of sick or dying deer should be reported to the nearest DEC Regional Office or to an Environmental Conservation Police Officer. In addition, the Department of Agriculture and Markets has alerted deer farmers and veterinarians throughout the state to be aware of the disease and to report suspicious cases. For more information on EHD and helpful related links, visit the DEC website. https://www.dec.ny.gov/press/press.html The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation respects your right to privacy and welcomes your feedback | Update preferences or unsubscribe | Learn more about DEC Delivers. 15. Thanks i've been going over it all day.The roads are already on my property its flat.It will mostly be used for snow removal and hauling firewood from the back to my house with a trailer. The foodplots are what you guys on here call killplots. The property is 1024 yards by 324 yards, but i'm hoping to pick up the 10 acers next to it.That would make it a perfect 20 acer square.I know it's small but it's my peace of heaven. Thanks again
  16. Yup 0% for 82 months. I don’t really need a mower. I’d rather have the bucket, forks and backhoe. I’m heading up tomorrow night for two days. I’m going to try and get to a dealer. There’s a lot of them in Amsterdam. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Here’s where I get confused with all the models. Are the lawnmower models worth looking at or should I move up one. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  19. Tractor it is now to figure out what size/model,Like I said I have no idea. For fire wood my plan is to start harvesting from the back of my 10 acres and work up to the front. I can ether cut it into rounds or split it right there. For snow it’s mostly my driveway and the road to the back of my property. For gardening it’ll be around the house and small plots in the woods. Any recommendations on make, model and size. I’m look to stay around the $15,000 mark Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
