    Question about leaders: I have a 5wt. rod and line i've been using 5x leader and 5x tippets can i switch the leader to match the fly? I was practicing casting and the streamers kept piling up. I'd also like to use the set up for bass next month from what i read and watched i'd need a #13 leader to cast popperes and bigger streamers. I've been watching tons of youtube video's,but none of them explained if i could just up the leader. hopefully this makes some sense.

    I'm going to put the rye in the bigger area.The dirt is good to go i just want to keep it from weeding out until i'm ready to plant this fall.

    I have a small area about 50x100ft. in front of my pistol target.I was going to plant grass but would rather put something for the deer and turkey.I need something that grows low about 6" or can be cut and still benefit the animals.This spot gets good sun and i can water it if needed.I added the dirt a 50/50 mix of dirt and compost. Also i have another area about 200x300 ft. that i cleared but i'm not ready to plant yet.What would be a good cover for it wheat/rye? It gets good sun most of the day.

    Went out this morning to try the new line I put out. My old line was shot. Caught another sunny and dropped a brown trout. The pond is starting to thin out. Meet an old salty I fished with for years. We didn’t even recognize each other the first two times we where talking. He was helping me when I tried saltwater fly fishing.I realized it was him when he said “you’ll never use that fly rod as long as you bring the spinning rod”. Finally got my dry flies.     The goose and duck eggs fry up in the windrows. I don’t remember how hot they get.Me and another guy wanted to try a goose egg but they where pretty much cooked when we opened them. The heat doesn’t seem to bother the killdeer they usually lay two batches now and in July. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
