Why dont you look Matt Ross' email address up and ask him yourself? Its not a secret, its right on the QDMA website. Bottom line here is FSW is basing everything upon the results of ONE study, and not even a complete or conclusive study. It was posted on the last thread that went down this same road, read it if you like.

Pretty much what I expected from you as well. Do you have any clue what any of those rifles are? Keep running your mouth and showing what little you know. BTW, most of the "scary looking rifles" look the way they do because of how they function. DEC has not finalized any of the regs yet, but I would bet the crossbow curriculum will be added to the regular hunters safety course.

I think the recovery rates will go up. Youll have alot less guys out there with vertical bows that really have no business hunting with them. Alot of the gun hunters that lack the woodsmanship to get in close enough, will give up after they figure it out. Either that or they will up their game and learn the skills they need to be successful. Either outcome will add up to the recovery rates going up, at least after the first year or so.

The draw weight of this bow is actually less than that of many of its horizontal cousins, and it gets close to the same speed with a longer arrow. 70-90lb limbs or 125lb limbs with speeds around the 370 mark for the 125lb setup. The draw length is 20+ inches from what I can find, and it shoots a 25 or 26 inch arrow, so I figure draw is around 24 ish maybe?

As long as they are in the crossbow section of the forum, whats the problem? Honestly, now that they are legal, I would expect to see alot more activity in the crossbow section of the board. Better get used to it.
