  1. Horrible, but yet another case of improper gun handling. I feel bad for the family and all others involved.
  2. Ill fix the title for ya hb. Congrats on the buck BTW!
  3. It may depend on your spot, but for the next week or so, its kind of a crap shoot. You might see a nice buck anywhere, at any time, as they are out looking for hot does.
  4. Great buck, and congrats! Any more pics of him?
  5. Id say he was trotting, not full out running, but not walking either, and the way you can tell is by how far the toes are spread, and the broken up dirt around the front of the track. Id say its a big doe or yearling buck.
  6. Right, but I highly doubt he shot at the ground blind thinking its a deer. Unless the guy did it on purpose, the most reasonable, common sense explanation (in my opinion) is that the shooter wasnt paying attention to the back ground, and like I said, those blinds can be very hard to pick out, especially if brushed in. I guess common sense isnt as common as it should be.
  7. 5:00 is alot less than 40 mins. It was after 5 that I got out by the time I packed up and got down.
  8. My daughter spotted 3 more nice doe. They were out pf range though. Shes having a great time.
  9. Just had a fawn doe and button buck come right under the stand. Talk about a happy girl!
  10. In my stand at my dad's with my daughter. Shes pretty excited.
  11. Well, as long as it was legal, theres no real problem. Ethics are a personal matter, and anyones ethics besides that hunter's dont really matter in this case. Just my opinion.
  12. Ive thought about using my e-caller, as it had doe bleats, couple of buck grunts and fawn bleats. Problem is, it weighs a heck of alot more than my grunt tube, which can do all of those things.
  13. LMAO, you could probably count all the teeth in the place on one hand!
  14. First one I heard was 6:33 am. Looked through my scope, and even with that it was still pretty fuzzy, deer must have been really close.
  15. I had buck # 3 go by @ 10:30 this morning, small 5 point. Got out of the stand @ 11, was starting to sweat a bit. Took a short walk through a path that was cut in the corn, came in and just had lunch. Heading back out @ 3 to take my daughter up to my spot at my dad's place.
  16. Seems to have really slowed down. Its really warming up.
  17. Both bucks I passed on today went into the standing corn. I have a good idea where the big boys are lol.
  18. Just had an 8 walkup the creek. 30 feet away.
  19. Just heard a volley of shots. Sounded like duck hunters lol
  20. Hearing alot of shots now. Small 7 walked by 30 yards away.
