One nice buck early and what appeared to be a couple lone fawns about 4:30 or so. Still waiting to see that first good chase take place! I will say, the buck today made take the bow off the hook and stand up!

Paramedic and I love it. I’ve been at my company for 12 years and currently serve as the assistant director of operations. I’ve learned that it is very important to love your work, if not, life can be miserable. I’ll never own a million dollar home or 4 fancy sports cars, but, my family will always be warm and fed.

Just had a nice buck move through... can’t tell exactly what it was, but, it was worth getting the bow off the hanger.

@Gencountyzeek, what do you do with the squirrels? I’ve always wanted to take some out at my place, but, don’t want to kill them without a recipe.

In 7A last night had 6 does and fawns come by. One doe with a set of twins each. No bucks in sight. Does didn’t seem too skittish. Haven’t seen any chasing yet.

Saw 6 tonight, all flatheads and fawns.

Back at it again, fingers crossed the big bucks in 7A move in the next hour and 40 minutes.

I sure did screw up last night... about 5:30 one of my larger bucks on camera showed up, and I blew it. Back in the saddle today, one unicorn so far.

@Fletch I think you’re a few miles east of me. I’m just inside Cayuga County, with a stiff wind I can spit to Oswego though.

Back in for the evening, had the daughter’s Halloween parade at school midday. Found my first rub of the season and a new scrape on the way in. The last 4 days at my place in 7A have seen a good increase in daytime pictures. Good luck everyone!

Well, finally back in the stand after a couple week hiatus due to work obligations, now, no work until Nov. 20th! Little warmer than I expected this morning for some reason though. Good luck all!

No hunting for me this am. My 5 year old asked to go out this afternoon so her and I will be spend the last couple hours of daylight eating snacks in her ladder stand... I love the time with her.

Ended seeing a total of 7 deer this afternoon, was an enjoyable sit. Only thing within range was a 3 point. Nice to be in the woods on a day that actually felt like hunting weather!

Found four new scrapes this morning, three were little things, the other however was large and without a leaf in it. No rubs yet on my property though. Settled comfortably into a stand that I generally enjoy tonight though. Can see a little ways even with leaves still on. Best of luck to everyone tonight!
