i went in the thickes part in my land.right between two thick patches of pines loaded with popalar and saplings.Found a tree climbed it and had like one shooting lane.I said this is the place right here.Saw nothing.LOL.Buuuuuut i set a stand in there nestled into an old maple for my boy to sit in during opening day with his bow.good 20 yd shots all three ways.But he may not make it out sat due to an accident.Lets see.If i have to carry him in i will.LOL.

well rant and raving:i hate the time change.Lets keep it the same.then i can get up normal time and have that extra hour at the end of the day when i get off work.And why is it always hot on the days i can hunt ALL DAY?Or when it is a nice day i get an emergency call while everything in woods is going like mad?

my 12 yr old is going to be on watch with his bow.Soooooo.i am thinking of sitting with my bow too at about 50 yrds from him in the thickest crap on the property.I think it is like having a gun.2 bows.we will cover about 85 yard of the corridor.I think is sounds fun.

i have only 2 more days.It sucks.I have been on watch every day for the past 3 weeks.most time in the woods ever in archery.And only had one little guy and a few smaller ones within range.Can't shoot does on this ground either.So all this time off work and i didn't get to get a nice one yet.At least i have mon and tues morning. I think i have a curse against me from some deer god.I try to pass on the little guys and it never pays off.Just end up with tag soup.Then the next yr i can't hunt that location and i go on to passing small ones at the next.Only big bucks i ever had come close to my stand got pulled away by a doe beyond my control or doing before they came into my lanes.UGH.

i love my bow hanger i put on my summit.Like i said it is just two bolts but it is great.I take off my quiver and strap it with the seat bungee,so it is strapped to the tree .Then i have my bow right at the left where i can have my hand on the handle ready to shoot with my arms resting on the arm of the climber just relaxing.Have arrow in and ready.Best up grade since the grip tape i put on the platform. No i am thinking of a way to make one for my muzzle loader on the right side. Mine is the open shooter,so i don't have the shooting rail to rest the MZL on.
