Saw this and it got me thinking. No pic, but CC & ginger with a splash of cider. Good end to an autumn day!

Synthetic or wood stock what do you like better .

Synthetic. It's durable, functional and weatherproof. I don't want to worry about damaging my tools. I want to USE them. -

Sat on the ground in a blind in strip of standing corn. Didn't even see a chickadee. Congrats to you successful hunters. I am out of the hunting bizness until Vermont rifle starts November 10. I'm already having withdrawals.- 10374 replies

Today is the last day of bow season here in Vermont. Head out to sit in a blind here at the house. Fog rolled in. I'm hoping that makes the deer brave. Can't kill 'em from the couch!- 10374 replies

Just re-arranged my schedule. Work tomorrow morning. Hunt tomorrow afternoon and Wednesday morning. That will be it for me for bow. Hoping to see some bucks on their feet.- 10374 replies

Changed the oil today. 185,700 miles. I bought it from a dealership with 14K on it in 2006 when I got back from a deployment to the Kuwait/Iraq border.

Funny how much weather and seasons vary. I hunted Thursday and Friday. The ground was white, the leaves have been down for 10 days, the colors were pretty decent 2-3 weeks ago. It is finally getting a little wet now. We were so far behind on rain. Of course I'm in the same boat as far as this week's weather forecast...

I have a 2004 Tacoma that I LOVE. I also have a 2007 Silverado that has done everything I have ever asked it to do.
-
Not me. Never like the looks of a Vette. I'm a dirty, scratched, work truck with no carpet sorta guy.
-
I heard Pearce gave the truck to Evoldi anyway.
-
Priced a loaded, limited edition truck lately?

I went back and read the earlier posts and what you wrote made more sense. I thought you were making the speed limit comparison. My bad. The crack about crossbows was directed at you not hearing any shots outside of legal shooting. The poachers must have been using xbows!

This week looks like a wash. I work outside, so Tuesday I will be hustling. I was hoping to get out for another sit or two, but I'm not sure that will happen. Guess all I can do is keep an eye on the radar. Not a big fan of archery hunting or tracking in too much rain.

I get that. I'm happy for Pearce though. Really wanted Price to pitch well, but he's like John Lackey. It's hard to switch from hating his attitude to joining the lovefest.

I have installed 4 kits from Home Depot over the past 25 years in simple cabins. Less than $300 each. None of them have burned down!

Called it last night. Give that man a Chevy truck.
-
I love that dirty water . . . Props to Alex Cora and his staff. See the rest of the league next season.
-
Sale. Evoldi has done enough. If it were up to me, I might get Brazier up.
-
Steve Pearce is pretty good, no?
-
I want to see Chris Sale, not Cardiac Craig.

That's good stuff right there! Congrats! Great pics. -
That's a solid plan. Good in the NL. Veteran presence.
-
You heard it here first: STEVE PEARCE for MVP!
-
Half an hour before/after pretty closely covers when it's light enough to see. So most people would shoot within those limits anyway, just like they do in almost every other state. There's a ton of difference between shooting when you can identify your target and when you can't. So I totally disagree. So the people down south poach with crossbows?
