  1. Trade in values are up. Someone I worked with back in october traded a 2009 f150 with 155k and box was rusted and he still got 9500 on his trade in.
  2. I'm kinda in the same boat. I just put 600 into my truck and decided to go get a smaller car to drive for work to save my truck. I dont want the payment of a truck right now so I'll go buy a 5k car in cash and wait a little longer to buy a newer truck.
  3. If you can get it back to the spot and can swing it I would go the amish shed route. Some come with a loft and porch all ready to go.
  4. A little below average sighting wise. I usually see more during bow however I didnt go out much after i took my buck on 10/30. I had a bunch of close encounters early bow passed a couple bucks opening week. Screwed up on a doe. Gun sucked but that's pretty usual for me. Did have some positives saw my first piebald while on stand, my nephew getting his first deer ever , my brothers first bow kill ever also killed my biggest bow buck.
  5. That'what I did last year. Also since it was a cheap steel tube stand I filled it with spray foam and that killed alot of the sound also
  6. This time of year you shouldn't have to many issues with people out in the woods. Atleast from what I've noticed around my area. Wish I could help with the area you are in. Good luck.
  7. My wife tried using CBD for anxiety/minor pains well one side effect that can occur is anger. She turned into a royal b**ch for 3 weeks that she was on it. To the point I asked her if she new where my wife was. She stopped taking it and didnt have the temper anymore. It was weird it's very rare side affect. I do know others that use it and they swear by it for pain and anxiety.
  8. Just looked at lone wolf's website they have a ready to hunt packages for under 500. However I still think I'm going XOP looked into them more and I like the idea of having hooks apart of the casting to hang stuff, plus the seat cushion seems to be better. I also like I can get the sticks to connect to the stand itself with a locking mechanism eliminating any rattle. XOP has a ready to hunt setup for under 300 currently.
  9. I just found where XOP has a youtube video showing how to mount them. Showd with the new style seat post and the older one.
  10. I think your correct on that brand just another version of the lone wolf. I watched the video on infalts stand today so I went and looked it up. Pre order price was 625. I'm sure its worth it just out of my price range.
  11. Yea I like those 2 i think I saw a modification for that style as well for the api.
  12. I cant believe the price of some of the sticks. If I could hunt more then weekends I could justify going top of the line. Being a weekend warrior just cant imagine spending 1k for stand and sticks not only that explaining it to my wife. Was considering api and modifying it to make it into a copy of the beast sticks with the lone wolf button/ strap setup.
  13. This past year I got more into a mobile setup. I wont go saddle just not for me. However my setup I have currently is loud, heavy and bulky. I've been looking into a newer lighter stand and stick combo. Top of most people's list from what I've read are lone wolf, hunting beast and XOP. The price is insane for the wolf and hunting beast they are almost 1k for the same setup I can get through XOP for 400. I know I would be giving up having the lightest stand possible. So question is anyone have any experience with the XOP stands I know they are a product from lone wolf. Just an off brand.
  14. Wish there was a 3d winter league around here but to my knowledge theres not.
  15. Bored so I stepped out and shot a group from 22yrds. Fiest shots since I took my buck Halloween weekend.
  16. No down in chenango. My brother saw a mom and cub come out of this piece of stateland over the summer. Couple years ago I hunted the same piece for grouse and there was a huge bear track then.
  17. Flushed a couple birds but couldn't get a shot off. However we did find a mama bear and baby bear tracks in the snow. Looked like they were only a couple days old. Second picture is the stride of the bigger bear. In the deeper snow you could see their back paw print really well.
  18. Waiting on my brother then we are off to chase grouse and rabbit. I'll be using my grandpa's 16.
  19. That's a nice looking gun. If that's a boyds stock it is great. I have the same style on my h&r 30-06. Good luck with the sale.
  20. If that is the dog I choose you'll be the first person I contact for more info.
  21. Hes pretty. Looks like I have a new one to add to the list. That matches just about everything I want.
  22. I had one growing up also and loved that dog. She didnt like a car door slamming let alone a gun going off.
  23. My wife had one growing up and she said all she did was have to look for it and it barked all day long.
  24. I'm open to others those are just the ones I've been looking into the most. That's another reason for the post maybe theres a dog breed I'm just not aware of that may suit my needs.
