  2. Here they are dragging it out on my cell cam yesterday 60yds from my stand...
  3. I posted about this deer in the live from the woods thread a few weeks back. A buddy of mine hit the deer on November 1st and tracked him for over a mile before giving up. Here is his shot...

  5. I bought these boots under the impression that they were made in America and much better than the Original Muck Boots. After a year-and-a-half of minimum wearage I found that not to be the case. Just another Chinese brand Muck Boot...
  6. Ugh oh.... After a very slow start to the season the taxidermy calls are starting to roll in. Big Boys are active!
  7. I'm out checking trail cams and my buddy who hit this buck just messaged me that one of the neighbors got him on cam last night. So, he's survived the arrow wound for now!
  8. I myself was not on this tracking job. A couple of friends of mine were. Based on what they said, they thought that deer should have ran out of blood for sure. I do know a little blood can go a long ways. According to onyx maps they tracked the deer for 1.5 miles. The buck never bedded and there were coyote tracks following it the whole way. Finally, they lost the blood in a flooded hardwoods. The shooter called a guy with a dog and he said the dealer is probably still alive. We both hope so. This is the buck...
  9. Actually, he claims the deer whirled around right as he shot and the arrow hit in front of the shoulder. He got about 7" penetration. Finger crossed he resurfaces on cam, he's a heck of a buck.
  10. Not typically. Another buddy that was in on the tracking venture for most of the morning says he had no idea how that deer was still going with the amount of blood lost. The shooter buddy hasn't responding in a while. Too busy dragging I hope...
  11. I may be sidelined right now but I'm currently following along with a buddy as he's trailing my #1 trail cam buck. He shot him last night and has trailed him for over a mile, still on good/decent blood!
  12. PM and text sent....
  13. Thanks everyone! No birthday buck again this year but I'll be back after them tomorrow...
  14. Here you go, same appletree...7.5 yrs old. Oldest buck on the farm. He's yours!
