  1. I'd say pretty nice, not gigantic. I've got the B&C scoring book, I should throw a tape on it...Mule Deer get scored a little differently than whitetails do.
  2. Nice buck! That looks like a McKenzie Dennis Behn form. The one I used is a newer sagebrush series form from Matuska Taxidermy.
  3. I've mounted several whitetails from outside of the state over the past few years, but this Montana buck is the first mulie that I've put together. Pretty cool deer...
  4. It's been a while since I got to post on this thread. Here's mount #3 for the year for the same member! He decided to turn a euro from several seasons back into a shoulder mount...
  5. It took all of 10 mins to put a doe down tonight. My 3 year old tagged along on his first deer hunt ever and we ended up putting a stalk on this group of does. First deer with the .450 Bushmaster...50yd frontal shot on this big old dry doe. Although we didn't get the early doe season in 8R (thankfully), nuisance permits on your buddy's farm work the same.
  6. Obsession Turmoil RZ, 60-70lb, 26.5-30" draw, Mossy Oak Bottomland land camo. Brand new strings/cables. Shot very little...never hunted with. Asking $375 local pick up.
  7. I'm planning on attending, but only because I'm a scorer...lol.
  8. Elite Kure 70#, Easton Bloodline 330 arrows with 100grain Sevr 1.5 broadheads TC Icon .308, Ziess Conquest 3X9 scope with 165 gr Nosler Ballistictip handloads Ruger American Ranch .450 Bushmaster, Vortex Diamondback 3X9 with 250 gr Hornady Black ammo Cheapo CVA Wolf muzzleloader, need a new scope, 250 gr TC Shockwaves
  9. I probably won't be holding out for one of the biggest ones. Realistically, I'll tag the first 3.5 yr old that gives me a chance!
  10. Yesterday was an interesting day for sure. It was nice meeting you!
  11. Better others. I love the quality of the pics of this cheaper Browning Command Ops cam. The deer definitely know it's there but aren't too worried about the little red flash and seem rather curious about it. Big boy headed back to bed with a belly full of alfalfa...
  12. I believe that this is the earliest in August that I've ever had pics of a nearly hardhorn "bigger" buck... The others...
  13. I thought I was going to need stitches after a little slip of the xacto knife while messing with one of Phade's deer a couple seasons ago...lol
  14. Good as new...nice work!
  15. I don't actually do them personally, but I do have a guy that I "wholesale" them out to. I only took in a handful last fall.
  16. Luckily for you your partner in crime is an eagle scout and he says he's really good at sharpening knives! Lol I prefer to do all of my caping with a regular old xacto knife.
  17. The DEC dropped in yesterday morning as I was getting ready to start a mount to check my log books for a specific Livingston County deer. I didn't have it apparently...lol
  18. Your OH and KY deer will have to be caped in the state they are killed in with skull plates removed on site.
