Tagged out this morning with a sweet double bearded two year old!!! Heard this guy hammering on monday when my wife killed her gobbler. I went after him on tuesday...got close to sealing the deal. Went back after him today and had better results...

I work in Penn Yan and had to drive through the mess last night!!! I saw the flood waters coming down route 364 at 12:30 AM and can tell it was just was unbelievable, many roads were washed out and lots of debris left on the roads such as big rocks and chunks of wood. For a while I thought I was going to be stranded... -

Had three birds gobbling around us this morning. At 6:00 this big ole dude can spitting and drumming into range and my wife hammered him with the 870 20 gauge. Good shooting baby!!! Makes 4 birds down so far with 19 days of season to go...

The Browning laid to rest this lonely 2 year old yesterday morning at 6:35. Counting last weekend'syouth hunt, makes 3 birds down in 4 days!!!

Spotted a road shed yesterday afternoon. Went to pick it up and ended up spotting the other half only a few feet away. The small 8-pt set makes 35 for the season... -
He was being sought after by numerous hunters in the area. I only shed hunt this area...4 pieces of property that are around 2000 acres in size in his home range. I was specifically targeting his sheds when I found him last week.

Update: The euro is coming along nicely. I taped him out at 160 gross typical and 170 2/8" nontypical. His larger left side scored just over 81"...not too bad for a NY buck. Don't know yet whether or not I'll have him professionally measured or not.

Had a short and sweet youth hunt saturday morning. At 5:30 five different birds started sounded off around us...half hour later 2 longbeards and a jake came in to the dekes and the strutter hit the ground. My turn on thursday!!!

We killed a nice longbeard @6:00...had two toms and a jake came in to check out our dekes. Awesome way to start the season. I'll post pics later...
