Id mount that deer in velvet if possible. I've never mounted a big one shot a big nine on a grape vineyard during muzzleloader a few years back. The landowner wanted the head I just wanted the meat. Biggest buck a 6 point 22 inch inside spread would have been a 9 but 3 broke tines. He's in the antler tote.

With rifle in the Adirondacks and where my wife's family hunts in Massachusetts it's shotgun. Never heard of drives with the bow. Seeing the deer on the drive the does stick together that buck is always trying to sneak out. That's just my experience with them.

Deer drives are alot of fun if you have the people and get the deer moving. Very common up here in the Adirondacks for camp and clubs. I used to hunt Massachusetts with my wife's family during there shotgun season first Monday after Thanksgiving. The year I went we killed 13 deer. Eight come out of one drive.

Well went to sit in my back 5 acres with oaks and acorns all over jumped a doe on my way in sat till dark. Nothing still waiting on the six point to make a mistake.

Well I sat this one out been hunting hard and no deer seen chance to rest and unwind. Might sit tonight other wise or well just do GameDay with the football games.

Id make it down for gun with a buck tag if I don't kill something up here b4 then.

I'm outta way up north 5 c Clinton county between Plattsburgh and lake placid. I'd take you up on that offer. It's rifle up here now but I'd love to get one with my bow never have. Been hunting with bow since I was 14 I'm 37 now. I love a challenge I just wanna see a deer in the woods and not on the side of a road.

Man I need to find some land or a lease in the southern tier or western NY. The Adirondacks are hard hunting man I'd be a expert killer down there. Plus you get to see deer without baiting. I hunt state land but all private land around they all bait. Now I just have to find that runway going to and from them on the state. But on the other hand I hunted Laurens ny with a buddy and his dad they bragged about all the deer and killing them. I didn't see a deer the whole weekend. The only deer we seen were in a hollow bedded right next to a gas station off interstate. Smart deer! Sorry for the rant just frustrated on camera but not showing up.

Well the 5 pointer did show up a four wheeler was whipping around my neighbors fields around 530. My buddy called me said you hunt. He said I don't even have to leave my house. Told me he had a spike 4 6 and an 8 pointer in a group. This afternoon he shot the 4 pointer.

I'm in my back 5 acres got a big body 5 pointer on camera two day in a row daylight. Hope he shows up.

Hunted b4 daylight till 1030. Saw nothing heard something moving but couldn't tell what it was. Starting to get frustrated. Tracks are there with droppings. But like no sign of any rut activities. I thought I found a ground scrape put curiosity in it. Nothing refreshened it. Don't know what the hell is going on.

Been in since before daylight. 28 degrees crunchy nothing moving yet. Had a doe and little one cross Rd in front of me.
