I like it on toast. Some people put it on decorative platters such as cheese and charcuterie. It's delicious.
-
Made some homemade apple butter today. 3 pints.
-
Sos it's hamburger with salt pepper and garlic powder and onion powder. Cooked down and made a milk gravy with milk and flour and mix it till it thickens. Serve over toast or biscuits. Just like sausage and gravy but with burger. It's good as hell too my kids love it.

I went out to my local American legion you go in with a mask then once your seated you take it off. That was last Saturday didn't feel anything till Thursday morning couldn't get outta bed. Then our local newspaper had possible COVID exposure at local legion posted. So I checked the health department and they said the same thing. Just let my guard down.

N95 and our kids have cloth masks that are washed daily.

No I'm not vaccinated neither is my wife. Just masks everywhere and hand sanitizer. Only going places when need to. My mom my sisters were all vaccinated but still come down with it. So I can't say I took all preventions.

After taken all precautions. Me and my wife caught COVID. She started with symptoms on Wednesday. I started Thursday. Headache body aches slight temp body aches cough congestion nausea. We went and got tested Friday got our results today it's detected. My wife lost her taste yesterday. Me very faint. The health department put out a alert of possible exposure last Saturday at the American legion. No appetite trying to stay hydrated. The worst part are the headaches and body aches for us. The Adirondack deer woods will have to wait. Waiting to hear from the health department. Just don't get it did everything to prevent this and still got it.

We used to go back 18 miles to Nelly and bessy. Sucks when all the coolers are beers lol. Nice when we'd fill a cooler of trout. Now you can only catch 3 trout a day up there now.

Had this one at a buddies job site. We think they came with the lumber that was dropped off. Caught him in my hat after he climbed up the building and lost balance. Almost tame I fed it my my leftover apple core. -

I didn't join picks and points cuz I'm a meathunter not horns. My 3 point ain't helping any lol. Lucky I get to see a buck just happy for the meat. I wish I could sit in a tree stand and pass up deer that would be crazy cool. But I do get to harvest deer earlier then anyone else when I get called for nuisance deer harvest dead of summer. -
I dropped my deer of at the butcher they had a 300lb beer hanging it was huge. I ask the butcher why the meat was blood shot guy shot it in head and never bled it out. The gall was 2 ounces. He had a 80 lb bear brought in the gall was 14 ounces. You could tell the baited one he said.

Anyone on here in a big buck contest? Our 2 local American legions have a annual bi buck contest. $10 to join have a chance to win 5 or 6 times. Goes by weight big buck, big bear, big doe. Little buck and a drawing of all the hunters who didn't get anything. Usually a gun drawing and a wild game pot luck in January with people bringing in and displaying there taxidermy. Great time right after new years the rabbit derby season starts by weight 1st place $300 2nd $200 3rd $100. Also 50/50s helps out local hunting clubs with leases $10 to join plus 2 home cooked meals both Saturdays and Sundays.Anyone else join or have these around? Local gun shops do it too. Some have weekly drawings and usually money or a gun.
