  1. Nice pics! Food plots even small ones work wonders when there isn't anything else around. I threw of handful of throw and grow last year and bucks were on it within days. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Still got contacts? Let's go! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Maybe instead of hunting animals, we will have a "purge" once a year like that movie. That would be fun to test your skills against other humans. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  7. Asking and selling price are 2 different things. Property is worth what someone is willing to pay for it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Thanks guy. He might not have room to get it in the shed, so maybe hes better off just buying a small storage type structure to put under the deck.
  9. Thanks all.....all makes sense. 1 other quick question. Would the ATV need to be stored inside a shed or can it be stored through the winter under a tarp, under a deck in my dad's backyard?
  10. forgot to add, what about a trailer? to be pulled by a Honda CRV....
  11. My dad may be purchasing a piece of land that has a steep 300-400 yard hill before flattening out. Its uphill going in, and downhill coming out. There is an open trail, some rocks, but nothing an quad can't handle. He's not really concerned about walking in or out, but more concerned about dragging a deer out by himself if I am not with him. He is retired and hunts weekdays while I am at work. What are your guys thoughts on which quad that would be good for this? Its not overly rough terrain, just steep. He doesn't need to use the quad for much else, not like a working quad or anything. Additionally, he is not interested in driving it around the property for fun or anything like that. Is $5K reasonable? I know they go up and over $10K, but again he doesn't need it much. It will probably sit on a trailer while he hunts everyday, unless he gets a buck and needs help dragging. Thanks.
  12. Dad is probably making an offer today. For around 1/2 the asking price.
  13. Agree. Great view, but weak coffee mug! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  22. I'm thinking he's 3.5 and the same buck as this guy from last year with the short nubby brow points? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Got a late start this year. Didn't put any cams out until I put 2 cams out on Labor Day (9/7). Same 8 acre property we always hunt in 3N Putnam county. The 2 cams are about 200 yards apart, one is the trail I watch when I hunt from my spot and the other is the trail my dad watches when from his spot. One 8 point looks pretty nice and I got lots of daytime pics of him, from both cams. Wondering if maybe he's the 8 point we had pics of last year. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. I actually disagree with you. Property is not landlocked. We would be getting 3 parcels. Each touch each other and touch the road. I highly doubt anyone will ever build on the states watershed property. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Walked the land today, looks really good. Tons of acorns. The 20 acres is surrounded by 2 other parcels. 1 is 84 acres and owned by watershed, no hunting allowed. The other parcel is 115 and owned by private company that for many many years has been trying to get approval to build condos, again no hunting allowed. So the 20 acres hunts much bigger, and much bigger than the 8 acres of private land we are used to hunting. Saw several fresh buck rubs. The owner is selling because his dad was the hunter who used it for hunting. He showed us pics of several nice bucks taken over the years on this land as well as turkeys and coyotes. He showed us where the turkeys roost, where his dad used to get his deer, etc. The owner said they almost hit it big a few times. Once a golf course company offered $1M for his property because they were going to buy the 115 piece for $14M but things fell through. Then a cell phone company wanted to build a tower and pay him $3,500 per month to have the tower on his land but that ended up falling through as well. Lastly, the watershed wants to buy 5 of his 20 acres for $25k but he doesn't want to divide it. I'm thinking my Dad will make an offer but he wants my help as well. Only issue I see is that the first 300 yards is pretty steep uphill. The current owner said they always used atvs on this property for hunting. There is a nice trail so an atv would be a simple fix for my dad, so I think he should factor the price of buying an atv etc into the purchase price. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
