  1. 10/25/20 1c (Suffolk County, LI) young bucks on their feet middle of the day following does. 10/24/20 &10/25/20 lots of new scrapes observed. Trail cam behind my house shows mostly nocturnal movement through 10/16/20. Sometime between 10/16 and 10/24 fresh rubs behind my house (camera battery died so cannot tell whether rub visited in daylight). Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  2. Going to head to the woods soon. Local news was conducting an interview and the camera pans to a nice buck in the background doing a slow trot. Only a short break in the weather so will try to make the best of it. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  3. Saw no deer today. Saw nice sized tracks and a fresh gut pile. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  4. In for the PM watch. Freezer is in good shape so I will be selective.....provided I even see deer. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  5. Young bucks are out in daylight following if not outright chasing, based on what I saw yesterday. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  6. I have the aluminum one. Used for deer and other stuff. The fit on the receiver is sloppy, so the carrier amplifies the play. I put reflective tape as well on back and sides. The highways on LI are like race tracks with folks trying to draft the car in front of them. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  7. Congrats@BowmanMike ! Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  8. Hope the deer are in the corn. Out on LI, the deer are becoming more active. Scrapes and rubs are opening and the young bucks are starting to get frisky. Things should pick up for you soon. Here's hoping anyway. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  9. Yep. As others have said high hit with no pass through. Did not bleed until the deer started tipping over. Fortunately, deer did not go far. Do you need help? Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  10. Another point for Team 1.... taken 10/25/20. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  11. Here's a photo of the wacky 4 by 1 buck that would not leave the doe. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  12. Yep. Double lung, heart and broke the front leg. Just finished processing and in the freezer. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  13. Easiest bloodctrail ever. My guess is she was in heat. The whacky 5 point would not leave her. He circled me at 20 to 25 yds while I was next to her. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  14. I am covered up in deer today. Does passed by behind me. Then see a deer sniffing around where I think the doe fell and came right to where I shot the doe. Cool young buck....4 points on 1 side and single drop on the other. Another young buck just came through looked like a forkie. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  15. Did not think deer would be moving this early. Hope I made a better shot on today's doe I can see the blood trail from my stand so guessing that's a good thing. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  16. No hikers or deer were harmed or even scared during this evening's hunt. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  17. Still around 40-50 yards. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  18. Fawn and doe came past at about 60 yards. Closest they came is 40 yds. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  19. What's the limit on hikers? Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  20. Hunting a scrape line. Same locations as last year right on a hiking trail. Guessing the scrapes get freshened at night, but figured it is worth a shot. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  21. After the poor (but very lucky) shot I made on the doe last Sunday, I had to fling a few arrows to get my confidence up and confirm that the bow was still set. I think this confirms Sunday was 100% shooter error. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  22. Congrats on the shot and recovery. Making meat and memories. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  23. Thanks for sharing Dino. I have a much greater appreciation of what it takes to make a primitive arrow. Very impressive. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  24. Happy Birthday! Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  25. If you are hunting that wind, it would be unproductive for the neighbor to hunt his stand with his scent blowing into the field he's hunting. Maybe, you are anticipating a problem that may not materialize. Like others said, try to contact the other hunter and talk things out. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
