  1. They all count. I find the smaller ones harder to find.
  2. I haven't been to a deer siminar since 2011 down in Arcade New York. I don't remember the guest speaker. I've gone to the Medina , New York one a while back when Team Fitzgerald were guest speakers. Both places were packed. I don't know the extent of your finances. Just an idea on a guest speaker. I know in talking to them, both down to earth guys. They talk to everyone at the event.
  3. I know sometimes when I hit submit reply, my post goes in thin air. Sometimes I recover it, sometimes not. I also have to relog in, as it looses my screen name quite a bit.
  4. I grabbed 3 True fire buckle releases, new in the package, on a flea market, few years back. He wanted 25 a piece. I give him 65 for all three. Pay that for one nowadays. He offered me another, but in Velcro for 10. snatched up that one too for a backup. Prefer the buckle, but hey. Coated with Need foot oil on the back side. Stored in the dark, when the grandchildren are ready. They all have length adjustment.
  5. A huge grapevine. An oak taken from disease.
  6. I hope your right. I like to get another with my bow. It been a while.
  7. Like all your estimates. Never got him on cam in 2023, but seen him once. Never found any of his sheds.
  8. I think many die without being harvested, for one reason or another.
  9. I have a Reflex bow 20 + yrs. @ 50 lbs. Excel 400 gr. carbon arrows Steel Force 125 gr. broadheads Barnett Recruit Terrain crossbow Barnett headhunter 20" 400 gr. carbon bolt (arrows) Steel Force 100 gr. broadheads
  10. That was real fact deer hunting from grampy. It doesn't get any better then that!
  11. Exactly. My point proven from the list on page two, that their are a fair number of deer harvested in New York State 200+ inches. That was maybe half, up till 2010. Their are quite a few in the 180s and 190s also
  12. Seen once towards the end of last season.
  13. Are you talking gross or net, lol.
  14. Wow, this is digging deep into the archives. A lot of names from the past, long history. The time really flew. I still have the Remington 870. Added just after 2012 was a Winchester 50 cal. muzzleloader. Started miss firing this year. Going to try a new breech plug.
  15. Don't ever remember eating any meat pickled. Is it good?
  16. Clover is growing. Deer are visiting, and yes some are still wearing antlers
  17. March is the time for frost seeding. I'll be out spreading my red clover, trefoil, Timothy mix on about 10 acres. Keep rotating fields as clover last a couple years.
  18. Participated in a nice sunny afternoon walk yesterday. Quit a bit of vegetation that looks to be palletable for the deer. Quantity of hoof prints in the mud, some large. Shed finds in this area, to easy.
  19. Tbe biggest antlers bring top dollar. Successful businesses continue to improve their product to increase profitability. The customer demands bigger antlers, Four Seasons delivers.
  20. Hope their right about Spring. Looks like a successful Agricultural Enterprise.
  21. Well okay then. We disagree on this subject and more in the future, no doubt. This is what raises forum participation, views, and interest which makes for a successful site. My main goal.
