  1. Deer are in the oaks and hickories this evening here. Nuts are going fast with little to none in the trees and on the ground.
  2. Sounds like you're to wet. Ground moisture is holding it's own here. Nice light rain showers today right into this evening. It amazes me how much water this soil can suck up after a prolong drought. Hope they lift the flood watch for ya.
  3. Perseids show last till around August 26. Peak was last night with 50 - 75 shower members per hour. I only seen 5 in 30 minutes.
  4. Nice stand and you have some healthy, great color plants there. The freezer getting fuller already.
  5. Many stars and planets out tonight. Looks like Swift_Tuttle off to a slow start.
  6. We're in the clear. Haven't seen a good meteor shower since the cows came home, LOL.
  7. Spent the day at the Erie County Fair Saturday. Got a chance to see the largest bowl in the world.powered by a IH 1086. Plenty to do and see as always. We were pleasantly surprise to see Weidner's BBQ had rebuilt on the Avenue of Flags after the fire at last years fair. Had a real nice meal. A little more excitement on the midway then we wanted, when plastic started to smoke from an over heated motor on a ride. We seen emergency personal running that way. Ride personal had the situation well under control.
  8. No such thing as dirt. Once you go through the college coarse, it all becomes soil.
  9. Looks like we have a dealer right here in our county. Three north of Albany.
  10. In good shape now with the 2 inches we got yesterday Should be good for the rest of the growing season.. I hope everyone else has got some rain.
  11. Reminder that we still need prizes for this contest. Anyone wishing to donate, pm. me and I'll send my address. Thank you.
  12. Summer fallow, then plant to late summer plants. I've been doing it for 45 years effectively. Easy on the pocketbook.
  13. Good luck with your plot. Wish you all the success.
  14. That knife is worth a little something. I sold two like new Marlboro Miles hoodies for $25 a piece. The suit case went for $45.
  15. Depends if it's classified as a dangerous knife under New York or local knife laws.
  16. I sold quite a few Huntsman in the day. Never keep one for myself.
  17. Ours blackberries have suffered though the drought. Still impressed with them.
  18. Blueberries like light, low ph soils. Could be buying diseased plants.
