Took another doe this evening.

The hunter. Boyd is known to be a great bow hunter and shot. It seems every year I hear from someone about the big buck he got.

This year I was in my blind just before 530.

Seen a nice buck about 615 this am. About 930 seen 3 doe, shot a doe at 230 pm, and seen an 8 at 430. Very good day of hunting. Shot her with the 270 using Hornaday 140 grain sst. Dropped on impact. Tore up the front half of her. The biggest complaint I have had with that gun is lack of knockdown power/ no blood trail. Hopefully that issue is fixed /

623 am was first shot way off in distance.

Done with bow and crossbow for the year. Switched jackets and all gear over tonight. I don't carry much so not a big deal but 1 less thing to worry about. Gloves, drag rope, baggy, pen, backstage, and ammo.

What is used to bring deer in heat on a farm? I think peeing on a scrape is bs. My experience with scents is limited. I have seen it alert, and alarm deer when I have used them in the past. Gonna see tomorrow if it does one or the other. The piece of property I am hunting this weekend is for bow season only. Had good success last weekend of bow/ cross bow in years past there. It is an area I see few deer, but usually good ones. Hunted it for 3 days last week, but only had a small 8 come through dogging a doe. He had her gimping pretty hard when she came through. The windshift tomorrow blows the sent from the bedding area towards the Ridgeline the bucks like to travel so we will see.

Gonna try antler ice doe estrus pee tomorrow. It is frozen doe pee. I have not had much success with store bought scent before, but never used the real stuff.

Maybe still some rain Saturday. I have had some success when cold and damp. Sunday feels cold already, I need some better gloves.

Increase heart rate to increase blood loss was the reason I did it. If the deer stops bleeding easier to loose the trail. I knew mine were not good hits. Ran one till he fell over dead. That was with a muzzle loader, took his back leg off. The other I was able to catch up to and put another arrow in it. I had hit him downward through the front of shoulders, and out by the leg. Caught up to him looking down hill for me. I was above him on the hill at that time and was able to get another arrow in him.

I have bled out 2 different deer by pushing them. It works. Neither were good hits but they were recovered.

Yes. I like to walk up to target every 2 shots, and inspect. I shot again this weekend and am very pleased with the results. I will clean the gun tonight, and shoot 5 more times next weekend.

Sure he does. Those polls will only motivate the left. It is near impossible for a Republican to win NY.The female vote will sway heavy in Kathy's favor just cause of DNA. And we may not support it, but obviously gun control gets support too, otherwise candidates would not run on it. The Republicans will speak out against gun control, but will not act against it, wonder why. Any added support you feel unconstitutional gun control could bring will be undone by woman's rights 10x over.
