I Dont know many more i would bet in a high fence area lol A elk is a bigger target No? When I practice a lot at farther then 20 I can hit 4 inch targets out to 40 yards But I don't usally so 20 yards maybe 25 yards is my limit . There is to much brush no clear shot farther then that really where I bow hunt anyway.

Do deer migrate and if so how far will they travel . Just wondering because they find deer in city parks and places miles from any wooded area sometimes. Any studies done on this ?

On a range in my yard with a compound bow I was talking about btw not a crossbow . I practice at 20 yards most the time so I limit my self to that . Even though I can take shots double that distance and still be in the kill zone of a deer on a target . I rather not try on a real deer at those distances With a bow . I don't want any chance for error when I hunt with a bow . And I know at least for me at 20 yards i can make a near perfect shot at that range every time . If I feel like hunting farther I would go to a crossbow or just wait till gun season .

Yea the track is to small not fancy enough to keep people going back if your not local. Well once the food went to crap I lost interest In going up there when pretty much I can go to a.c. or foxwoods or the ones in PA all around the same distance from me . And have much more to offer. If they don't make it nice like those other places . Once people go once and the word gets out that it is a dump they will loss money . Like the track

Like to know if they have a good buffet if you go The track/casino overthere use to when it was new but last time I went it sucked so I never went back to that place .

Maybe i am old school but I was teached many years ago. even if your a great shot in hunting conditions you should not be taking shots more then 20 yards deer move . Unless you like spending lots of time tracking wounded deer from bad shots .

Any time I go by that area I hit that buffet . It is one of the best that i have been to in a casino and trust me I been to whole lot of casinos around the country and out of the country as well the food more important then the gambling in those places at least when you lose your balls off you get a good meal out of the trip . If the place has crap food and is dump i Will not go back actually to any casino .

Turning stone has a pretty good buffet .

They like to put prisons in crapy areas to upstate I think I would rather have a casino built in the area then a prison if I lived in those places .

Well if they do it right with nice bars and music and theaters and restaurants and stores . At least it will be a nice place for the locals to go not much up there.

Don't know about life changer but better then nothing. Helps bring in money jobs in the area .

Not sure what you are saying ? It will not make that area worse . Is what I'm telling you . Only could help .

The only ones complaining about more casinos are the native American casino operators that don't want the competition don't kid your self I go to Florida all the time and the casino tribes there pull the same old propaganda to try and stop casinos outside of there reservations . That being said if I put a casino for example in a hell hole like Detroit dont expect it to change much over night because the bad element that made it a hell hole in the first place still lives there with there gangs and drug dealing . I don't think Catskills has those problems. So a casino will work out better there then other places .

It will create few 100 or thousand good paying jobs up there and bring in more tourists to the area . Is it the solution to all the problems in that area no . But better then nothing .

Was thinking about it to but I heard maybe snow or freezing rain. Today and tomorrow so decided not to go .

Years !! Centuries even !! I have a shotgun from my great grandfather that is around 100 years old that still works . And some ammo that is around 60 years old still around. And I am sure that is very common in this country . More guns then people lol Good bless the USA!!!

I have one from the early 90s love it . Picked one up just to look at in the store noticed the Bluing and Finnish on the wood was not the same quality as my old one but it seemed lighter also . Don't no if the lighter feel is because of better engineering or just making them making it a cheeper product with less metal .

Yea me to , if I got something else in that type of mid power caliber it is going to be either ruger mini 30 or the m1 30 carbine . Probably before I got a AR I never liked the looks of the AR15. AK 47 on the other hand I always thought was a better looking gun . But I know the AR15 is a really good gun that i probably may get also want but it is not on the top of my list . Especially now with the threat of government confiscation and all the bs laws surrounding anything that looks like a AR15 in New York .

In mine opinion the difference is that if you going to be walking stalking type hunting . Ar style stock pistal grip or thumb hole stock is a little faster to get on target because of the way you can shoulder it in front of you .hard to explain unless you have walked around the woods with a thumb hole or pistol grip stock to explain . But besides that it is all just looks some guys,like the look some don't

Yea,i know I don't get it , but if someone really wants to go crazy with a guns and start shooting up a place they will just bring a bag load of them this way you don't even have to bother reloading just pick up another loaded gun . Im pretty sure all these nutjobs that do that crap alway have multiple weapons on them when they get caught . The most dangerous weapon is the human mind . If some wack job does not care if he dies you can't stop him with a law only with a bullet . So basically it is a feel good law to act like they did something .

It only bothers me if it' not a fast death for the animal . If it is not i get freaked out about it .

Never owned a AR15 but you here so much about them being so great I feel like I'm missing out . So may be this is a dumb question but they sell them with fixed mags and that gets around the new York laws against them? Having a pistol grip ?
