I saw them on eBay for around $300 pcp compressors coming from China . They work but I think the setup and maybe maintenance is an issue with them i saw one video review on YouTube about it

Thats why i got the carbine pistol version. My prod has only a 60cc tank to fill not that hard to fill I think if I get a new pcp gun with a bigger tank more then say 120 cc I may have to get a scuba tank or get a compressor but probably the next Pcp gun i will be buying is the fx independence it has a built in pump .

Motavation for deer hunting . Lets see hmm Shoot deer make steak eat steak it's food . Bonus hang rack What else is there ? I mean modern man has only been hunting for 200,000 years . Nobody even has to hunt anymore really and people still do it. What does that tell you ? It tells you that we are hard wired to want to hunt just like all the other predators on the earth are . This can Express itself in other ways most sports are based on hunting skills believe it or not . Because think about how humans hunt game . We use are hand eye coordination we aim we use strategy . Now look at most sports same concept used you aim a gun you aim a spear you aim a rock and you aim a ball in most games and you use hand eye coordination ,strategy also in those sports just like hunters like trophies we give trophies in sports. Hunting is the original sport the first one . The first sport of kings in fact depictions of hunting scenes can be found in ancient tombs of kings all over the world from thousands of years ago . The anti hunting groups try to make hunters out to be not normal but in fact it is most of them that are not normal in reality.

I don't us a iPhone but I keep mine cell phone in the inside of my jacket near my body it stays warm and only take it out when I have to i would think you could do the same with the iPhone . So that cold would not have much or any effect on it . I am not sure why anyone would have it out of the warmth of there inner jacket pocket long enough for Cold to effect it you look at it put it in you jacket and walk 10 or so minutes before checking again if even that much most people I would imagine have a pretty good sense of diretion enough so that they would not need to look at a gps every second at least I don't . I mean if the inner part of your jacket is getting that cold means you would be freezing and not wearing the right cloths and got even bigger problems to worry about then just batterys.

I believe there are plenty of state land spots in the state that have good hunting . Just most are far to commute to . But if you have the time and money to stay a few days upstate either camping or hotels I know plenty of good spots all just a little to far to hunt and try and get back home in the same day . It is what it is I guess .

I Dropped my 7 down a flight of concrete stairs . Luckiy I have a tech 21 case picked it up not a scrach on it . That is not a worry for me . The ground in the woods usally much softer then concrete stairs so that is one issue i am not worried about water on the other hand I use a drybag for that just incase and it actually floats .

Yea you kinda of got the impression that most these guys that do those African hunts are more into just collecting trophies then looking for a challenging hunt . I don't know if that is a fair representation of the guys who do that seems like they where trying to stereotype those guys and went out of there way to find just that type of guy to put in the film .

I would not trust any water proof electronic device if i were you i put mine in a drybag the 7 is supposed to be water proof to under 3 feet of water . I still don't trust it and use a water proof case phone marine Drybag . And of course a compass and exstra battery if I was going to use it in big woods country plus 2 ways to light a fire . Magnesium stick and a lighter and a small bottle of some type of accelerant to start a fire in wet conditions would be a good idea to .

A new cell phone actually has multiple sensors . Not sure what her story has to do with smart phone technology? a story of someone getting lost because of a cell phone GPS malfunctioning would be relevant . What happen to her was a different device altogether not relevant to what we are talking about. So I'm not sure what point your making? Want a plane to find you with out a good single light a fire . Oldest trick in the book . But in bad weather chances are you will have to wait for them to rescue you . Does not really matter what you have . Is that the point you are making you can get screwed by the weather ? Or have a backup like a compass? If yes I agree

With any technology you have to know how it works good before using it . Same with a map and compass. Bad idea to try learning navigation techniques first time in the big woods

new phones have GPS a real gps transmitter it Works with or with out cell towers They also have a built in compass and orientation Sensors built in . A good GPS software on a good phone can use both both GPS cell towers and even Wi-Fi to get your locations it can work on (GPS alone )or in combination with the others to get even more accuracy

I was out this morning using my phone GPS it was 0 out worked fine and there is no cell service where I was at can't speak for the iPhone could be something to do with the settings of the phone or the app you are running on it . I would ask a Apple expert about that if I were you. Knowing Apple they probably want you to buy some special app from them to get the GPS to work right on it All I know that on Samsung 6 and now my 7 the thing works always every place I go even used it out west a while back and hiking in the alps Italy France Greece Croatia Caribbean Canada . In a plane at altitude on a boat in the ocean . How accurate is your GPS my phone will get me with in 10 or 20 feet of something . I read that these news ones on phones are down to a foot Mine could be that accurate probably but to save the battery I have it set to normal settings . Yea 3 things I did not care for 1 was the first scene showing the guy hunting over a feeder in blind that looked like it even had A.C. and refrigerator in it the elephant dying scene And that he has to bring up religion .

O well if you think cnn would say how people hunt in Africa was this great challenge that was not going to happen . It is cnn The point they did make, is with out those farmers breeding them as a resource. Those animals would go extinct.
