Has anyone ever experienced deer blowing and then settling down; not bolting? I never have. Foot stomping and head bobbing alone, I have had them settle down again, provided I remained motionless; but blowing they always end up bolting.

Yes, and this is for any boot. Boots should fit snug enough so your foot does not slide up and down (blisters), but not tight to restrict circulation. You want enough room to be able to wiggle your toes and trap some air.

They are the military cold weather boots. They are all rubber and have an air bladder to trap air for insulation/warmth. They do work and some folks love them....but Cons: They do not breath so your feet will sweat and be wet. If they tear (sharp rock) they no longer trap air (heat). The military does not buy the best equipment, they buy mediocre cost effective.

I have heard this is due to conditioning and associating the chainsaw sound with new browse from the greenery left behind.

The second time the coyotes did not kill him, but he died from some injury (perhaps a coyote wound). When he did die, the coyotes found him from the smell of decomposition. Also, to a deer a road is not a road, it is just an open area with hard ground.

The single reason is it is beneficial to the manufacturer. Look at it this way, there are lures meant to catch fish and there are lures meant to catch fisherman (sales). This thing is the latter. That "hunter" that needs to have the latest greatest whatever, now needs to have this!

Appreciate felt recoil is more than just the cartridge itself. As posted above, gun weight plays a role, but so does stock design, and recoil pad versus butt plate. This presumes proper shouldering technique. A Winchester 94 .30-30 can hurt to shoot due to it's straight stock and thin hard butt plate. A Marlin 336 .30-30 has less perceived recoil due to the different stock design and wider butt plate.

Some small part-time hobby taxidermist in another part of rural USA working out of his/her barn with no overhead (store, taxes, etc) could probably do it for less, but is that practical? Taxidermy is expensive and I have never met a rich/wealthy taxidermist.

Suppressing the Hunter Biden story is not significant election interference. It arguably is not election interference at all, but rather news interference. If you want to go down that rabbit hole, then any Trump lawsuit to block access to documents could be argued to be "significant election interference" by the other side. If the FBI is telling Twitter it is Russian disinformation, how is Twitter supposed to know that is false? The FBI has access to classified information that Twitter did not. Twitter being more than eager to oblige would be a good corporate citizen, protecting our elections, acting based on what they are being told by our FBI. Election interference happens with every election by both Russia and China! How is any individual or corporation to know who is behind what? The issue here again seems to be the FBI...not Twitter.

The times sure have changed. At a mall near me, before the big box sporting goods store in it decided to stop selling any firearms, their policy was if you bought a gun, 1) you could not also purchase any ammo (it did not matter if it did not fit the gun!) and 2) you would be escorted out the store by mall security to your car, you could not enter the mall itself.

Agree. In the early 1980s, I bought a used Rem 760 factory carbine in 30-06 for $125. My first deer rifle. Love it and will never sell it.

I am not sure I agree with guns are cheaper today. Back then the big manufactures were just making guns and not budget or entry level guns. The budget or entry level guns are of lesser quality (think Remington Express). Back then we were able to afford the standar higher quality guns.
