Going for an afternoon set beteen a small horse farm and a housing development. Crossbow only . There has been a small buck and a couple does in there in the evening . Haven't been out much after tweeking my lower back a few weeks ago. Spent more time at chiropractors than in the woods. Perhaps I can get lucky . Good luck everybody that's still pushing to fill tags.

It appears as marlin is currently making the 444 again... I dont know what models are better new 60s too 70s or 80 and 90s. Have to study up on them . I think I would like to find a pre safety as I am left handed.

Cant honestly tell you when to hunt dont know enough about the spot and deer movement. Honestly cant tell for sure if it was deer feeding or turkeys from the picture. Deer will mat down snow and leaves where they bed ... they dont dig it up . As the leaves appear to be pawed back and over turned it's a feeding area. Turkeys or deer.

Wife seems to think I need a new pup..... I don't really have a want . But a lever action in 444 marlin would put a smile on my face.

Hard to tell as wet as it was it was packing down as it built up . I had almost 11 inches on the deck early this morning and an additional 4 or 5 this afternoon .

Ok so we got a foot of snow at my house as of 430 this morning . Town plowed one strip down the road and pushed 3 foot of snow into drive way. An hour later I had it open . They left piles of snow in the end of my connecting roads. I pushed through them with the truck backed up a couple of times making a path for the wife who was following me out . We both got to work on time . Double the drive time for both of us . I was amazed how little work was done on the roads at 6 am this morning . One of the few things I dont mind my taxes being spent on .

Most of the schools are closed down here... great ... no school buses to deal with in the morning. Just a few hundred other people trying to get to work that have forgotten how to drive in the snow since the last storm.

What are you feeding that deer out of that bucket....

Seems to be calm before next round of snow . We canceled my granddaughters birthday party. Roads were pretty bad . Rescheduling for next sunday

I haven't seen but 3deer since the day of the bears during crossbow season. So yes I'm still in the group.

Full on sleet a few minutes ago back to rain ... I 86 between elmira and chemung is closed to all traffic.

I did mine for under 200 .... 600 must have been some mailbox you put up.

Teenage girl just took out SIL mailbox coming down a small hill. Mom and dad had to come pick up the car as she was to scared to drive . Dad drove her to work . While I was outside I watched town salt truck .. 6 wheel dump truck come down the other hill sideways. Back wheels got on shoulder and pulled him back in line ... just missed guardrail before the bridge. These were small hills . And they weren't going fast . Be careful out there today. Chemung county is where I'm at.
