Bake in bags

I was in the store the other day when I saw these Mcorrmick "pot roast" Bake in bags. I never used one before so I started to read the package. You just add a 2-3lb roast, veggies and mix a seasoning packet with a little water, put everything into the bake in bag and bake at 350 for about 2hrs.

I tried it the other day with a 3lb venison rump roast. I just added a bay leaf and a splash of beer. It was great.

I know everyone likes their own recipes and some may think that this is cheating (thats why I added the bay leaf and beer) but this was really good. I had no left overs, for once.

I just use aluminum foil...before brown paper grocery bags became almost non existent...I cooked my thanksgiving turkeys in large brown paper grocery bags...they turn out a rich golden brown and moist as all get out...miss that...

my first turkey was cooked in brown paper bag, someone told me about it but was worried because i was cooking over night because i was working on thanksgiving. i smeared the whole bag with BUTTER. not sure how much flavor it gave turkey but it was soo good. they bags we can get now aren't as thick as they use to be.
