I'll be out sans a kid. Bow in hand, rabbits foot in pocket. Looks like it'll be a cool weekend and the leaves are beautiful. Hopefully some great memories will be made!

Politics aside, is it safe to be bow hunting in woods were youth are gun hunting? If I'm in camo up a tree or worse in aground blind, I may go undetected in the "know your target and beyond" philosophy.

I'm glad the hunt is happening for the kids but I know I will not be in any woods in camo as its happening.

I've heard gunshots everyday this week in the woods. I managed to survive.

Way more small game, turkey and waterfowl hunters out there then there will be kids this weekend.

If worried, do some orange or stay home.

My 15 year old son loves to deer hunt...but he is going to duck hunt instead.

I havn't seen much of anything so far . I am trying to decide where to hunt Saturday . I am guessing that with more hunters out there , the deer might be moving around .

That's what I'm thinking. I'm going to try and stay in the stand a little later then normal and hopeful get an eye on some deer that might be moving due to the movement of people in the woods. And blaze orange isn't a bad idea
