What's the deer situation. I am headed up that way for the weekend. Hopefully the big boy runs into an arrow. All I have seen so far are doe. Still early yet though.

All I've seen on my trailcams are Doe and Fawns ... so far ! Somebody made them Fawns LOL !

I must be in a good spot because I have been seeing many bucks. We still have a few bucks that are hanging around with other bucks but most are on there own. There still are a ton of does too, just many bucks as well! We even saw some chasing action going on! Are you in Berne? Westerlo? Knox? Good luck!

Headed out today for PM hunt in 4H. Will report back. Tough terrain where I hunt. Have to be part billy goat to make it up these hills(small mountains).

Been out a few times. Kicked up some deer one pm going to my spot. Today got winded by 2does and 2 unknown deer only saw the two does and the other 2 took of with the 2 doe. Wind was gusting to 30MPH so I'm not surprided they winded me.

I have been in the woods for eight days since opening day and only saw one small racked buck and no does. Very frustrating. This past weekend put snow on the ground and I only found one track. The deer seem to have “disappeared". Three weekends left. Maybe I should move to 4G.

Been hunting bow in 4h.  I have seen a dandy of a buck at 75 yds and another decent six pointer as well as doe.  Never in range though.  Different story with a gun though.  I will be hunting 7s at our hunting camp.  Good luck

Does only--heard of one small buck shot opening day-Rensslaerville--farmer said he had seen several spikes before season

Rensselaerville-most deer I have see in 25 years. 2 Sundays ago saw 3 bucks and 22 deer in all within 10 minutes.

Very few shots yesterday compared to previous years , only saw two Does in the A.M. !

It's very slow here in my part of 4h. Very few shots heard any where close. My brother killed a big mature 8 point second day of gun. I have seen a few smaller bucks still chasing the does and have seen sign of a couple of good bucks but as of yet no kill for me yet. I have hunted two different properties and pretty much the same thing in both. Been hunting very close to doe bedding areas since gun opening and just can't see very far in the thick stuff. I'm going to back out a bit Thursday and Friday to try and get a visual on one of the big guys. Hang in there everyone cause it's not over yet. Good luck to all who have not yet connected!

My area of 4H has been very slow this week. My buddy shot a 4 point yesterday. The big bucks are not showing during daylight. And very few shots have been heard. I've been hunting hard in the thick stuff, oak ridges and swamps on two good properties, but nothing on my hit list has showed, yet.

Filled a DMP opening morning with a nice big Doe , a buddy nailed a 5 pointer around the same time .  Seems to be plenty of Doe's around but not seeing too many Bucks .  Didn't hear a lot of shots fired !  Durham area .
