400 arrow vs 500 arrow

i shoot a pse set @56 lbs. i have 400 beman & 500 beman arrows seem to shoot the same ifeel 500s a little faster and hit w/ a more solid thwack whats the diff [ 400 8.3 gpi 500 7.4 gpi] between the two ?

If both arrows are cut to your draw length, then the 500 series arrows are going to be lighter by 25-30 grains. I'd go with the 500 unless you plan on increasing your draw weight to 70 or so.

I shoot both and have just about the same setup. I find with fixed broadheads that I like the 400 a little better. But just for 3D the 500 shoot very well.

The difference is spine, one has a stiffer spine than the other, plus weight obviously. The stiffer spine would allow you to shoot a heavier broad head. Stiffer and heavier are alomost always better in hunting situations provided it is ok to use in your set up.

Agreed. I shoot a 350 at 63lbs with a 125Gr broadhead.

I would say the 500's for your draw weight would be good. I shot 67lbs and I us Beman 400 ICS Hunter arrows, and that has been very, very good to me. Best of luck!!

thank you guys i shoot 100 grains rage and of course field points 100grain just noticed 500 seemed to hit harded they both fly straight & true [ can tell the arrow is stright not on an angle in the target ] and of course where i aimed at .
