BizCT
Looking back at trail cam pics, I think this might be the deer I shot. I hunt an 8 acre piece of property. The trail cam pic was taken less than 100 yards from where I shot my deer, and on the same exact trail. The trail cam pic shows the deer heading in the direction of where I was sitting when I shot the deer. One other buck I got lots of pics of was a spike, which I saw opening day with my 4pt. and my Dad has seen the spike a few times as well. This makes me believe this 4pt. is the same and they were both local residents. Same Deer? This is my first year using trail cam pics. Thanks. BizCT
Cool, thanks. Not sure if the trail cam buck looks a little bigger than the buck I shot though.
ATbuckhunter
I would say they are different. The deer shot it smaller.

KEVA
Same deer, the right antler is a give away. Look closely and you can see the small forward point. Congrats on taking a buck you had photos of!
nyantler
Hard to say.. I have 3 bucks that look just like the cam pic on my property.
WNYBuckHunter
That pic is way to blurry to even have a chance at identifying that deer.

BizCT
Well there was only 3 bucks I got on trail camera. A spike, which I saw on opening morning and my Dad has seen it multiple times. This 4pt, which I might have shot. And lastly a 6pt, which got hit by car late October. No other bucks seen on camera since July, and no other bucks seen by my Dad who has been out dark-dark everyday since 11/17. I'm thinking it is the same buck. It's only 8 acres of property between houses.
WNYBuckHunter
During the rut, they move, alot. Could be a buck that normally holes up somewhere else. No buck's home range sticks to 8 acres.
BizCT
Yea, I understand. My buck definitely wasn't in rut though when I shot him, and he was with spike I had tons of pics of. I'll never know for sure, but pretty cool to use trail cameras for the first year.
