landtracdeerhunter
Ok snowmobile owners, can this be true, and have u ever run into a situation?
Lawdwaz
You can say that about anything. What is too much for a snowmobile to you?

G-Man
Deep powder (2-3 ft) is tough cause its over the windshield and in your face, but to much? they were they only things moving during the blizzard of 77 and saved countless lives... too much snow???? Jeremy K
I remember that storm in 2001 ish that dump 7 feet in depew area , just to the north of that was less snow but to much snow for the 81 cat i tried riding , not a problem with the newer sled especially with a 1-7/8 deep lug track. mlammerhirt
Like G-man said it gets tuff with the snow flying over your windshield. The sleds are designed to ride on top. Alot less control in the fluffy stuff, but a good rider will make it through deep stuff.
landtracdeerhunter
Guess maybe, more of a comfort zone for snow would have been a more accurate title. just wondered if a snowmobile could become useless in certain depth, type snows. We had a 76 Skidoo which got stuck more, in deep drifts. It was a very heavy machine, somewhat bulky.
HuntOrBeHunted
Yea if your sled isn't set up for deep snow it will be over worked and will end up blowing for the most part. You will have to hammer the throttle to keep it going at a snails pace.
landtracdeerhunter
This reminds me of a neighbor, years ago that use to race with a Rupp. Thing was a beast, and beat many sled.
