Congrats. Seems like the dog guys are doing great this year. There is a group in my area, called wanting to run dogs on my property, which I said go ahead, they have gotten 56 this year so far.

How do you guys hunt with the hounds? Do the dogs chase the coyotes towards you like rabbits? Or do they corner them like they hunt mountain lions?

Here is a picture of some guys running dogs in Lodi/Hector National Forest area this weekend. My buddy had a chance to go out with them. I only know one person in the picture.

It is kind of like rabbit hunting.

Our record is 49 with the current group. Killed 68 with a group when I first started. We have big woods and swamps around here. Not much small woods, but we are starting to get spots with smaller woods.

That 00buck will put em' down. What's your effective range with it? Have you tried #4 buck?

The #4 buck is my choice, however I just happened to have some 15 pellet 00 in my pocket. It does pile them up. Never really paid attention to distance, but I know I can reach out and touch.
