fasteddie
The wife and I drove to Bloomington , Indiana last Thursday and drove home yesterday . We gassed up driving through and on the way back in Ohio and paid $3.549 a gallon . WE gassed up before leaving Bloomington paying $3699 a gallon . Made a wrong turn and drove through some back country roads trying to get to the X-way . In a couple of towns , we saw gas prices at $3.429 and a couple for $3.349 ( with membership ) . What's with our high gas prices ? Are we paying a lot of state tax on the gas or what ? Oh yeah , 70 mph allowed on Indiana x-ways . Saw a couple of bad truck and tractor trailer accidents on the Indiana x-way and traffic was held up for over 20 minutes in our eat bound lane . The best part was that we had a safe trip . Geno C
3.99 here, they will bang us to 4.50 by summer and we might see 4.05 and be happy to pay that. how do they expect people to survive? i mean the people people eaking their way way by will soon NOT get by... nyslowhand
Think everyone has realized this by now, it's a scam. Gas goes up 50¢/gal and we scream & yoller. Then it goes back down 20¢/gal and we're happy again. Must be getting near the end of a financial quarter and they need to boost profits. BTW - If I recall correctly (?) gasoline in NY is taxed at ~70¢/gal. Which puts us in 1st place, yeah....NOT!!!
HectorBuckBuster
I believe we have almost .32 cents just in sales tax's on NY gas. So when gas goes up, you also end up paying more in sales tax.
landtracdeerhunter
Funny how important issues like gas prices got left out of the last presidential election. Guess 62,000,000 voters like to take it right in the ah-ha.
Geno C
there is no stopping these guys with gas prices. Between high gas prices, high taxes, anti gun yahoos, Obama care, and all these illegals, WE ARE SCREWED!

landtracdeerhunter
Remembering my college years, back in the 70's; when gas prices rose from $00.36 To $00.80, later to $1.00, their was hell to pay.
biggamefish
It is a trend they let it stay the same price for awhile then jack it up 40 cents to bring it down 25 or 30 cents and we all say glad it came back down but it never COMES BACK DOWN always 5-15 cents more expensive than before. This happens every year.
