Figured id read more success stories today with it being opening weekend. Even my facebook has been quiet. Repeat of last season?

I have thousands of acres of huntable woodlands and fields that surround my house. I have yet to hear a singal shotgun blast or a gobble for that matter this season. I have seen a few turkey hunters patroling the area since the opener too but I can tell you, I can see the frustration in their faces as they coast on by the house.

There has been a TON of shooting in my area.

I heard more shots the second day of the season compared to opening day.  Fortunately for me one of those shots rang out from my Mossberg.

I passed on 2 Jakes and was spotted by a Gobbler, So far its much better than last season here in lower Ulster.
