Guess what I'm Having For Dinner Tomorrow

Yup!  I have about 30lbs left between the two I took last season. Told the wife last night, I need to get three this coming year to make sure we have enough for the year. She looked at me and said, "Yeah right! Get one and then we'll see about the other two."

Looks good,care to share the recipe?

Pretty simple . . .

 

Cut and cube the venison - brown it in butter or vegetable oil

Sautee peppers and onions and put aside

 

In a large crock pot place the browned venison, add green peas and mushrooms cut in pieces

Put in enough water to just about cover the meat. 

Add about 5-6 tablespoons of tomato paste Stir well. 

 

Add salt, pepper, chili powder to taste, stir well

 

Let it stew for about 5 hours. Add the peppers and onions about 1/2 - 45mins before serving.

 

Grab a large bowl, big spoon, some crusty bread, homemade wine and enjoy!!
