Deerthug
Yup! I have about 30lbs left between the two I took last season. Told the wife last night, I need to get three this coming year to make sure we have enough for the year. She looked at me and said, "Yeah right! Get one and then we'll see about the other two."

Deerthug
Looks good, care to share the recipe? Pretty simple . . . Cut and cube the venison - brown it in butter or vegetable oil Sautee peppers and onions and put aside In a large crock pot place the browned venison, add green peas and mushrooms cut in pieces Put in enough water to just about cover the meat. Add about 5-6 tablespoons of tomato paste Stir well. Add salt, pepper, chili powder to taste, stir well Let it stew for about 5 hours. Add the peppers and onions about 1/2 - 45mins before serving. Grab a large bowl, big spoon, some crusty bread, homemade wine and enjoy!!
MACHINIST
Kick butt!! I will try this soon!
WNYBuckHunter
Im gonna have to try this. Sounds great, thanks for the recipe bud!
Deerthug
Enjoy! My mistake lwas to put too much water in the pot. Next time I would put the water about half way up the venison otherwise it comes out too soupy.
letinmfly
You don't add wine to your stew as it's cooking? You don't know what your missing.
