I have one on my jump box and I have needed it several times , when I had a flat and plugged it on the road and used the compressor to air it up

Now the one on the jump box bit the dust but the jump box is still good .

Thought I’d just get a 12v compressor to keep in the truck .

Any brand better than the other

I don’t know about the 12 volt ones.  My buddy, who is a building contractor, swears by the 18 volt Ryobi ones that run on drill batteries.  He outfits his crew with only Ryobi cordless tools, and he says that the  little portable compressor is about his favorite of those.

I have the Ryobi and its dying, it lasted about five years. I use it quite a bit on my leaky boat trailer and for a while a truck tire. It gets very hot, i dont think its meant to run for minutes at a time
