Card Readers ????

Anyone use a card viewer to look at your pics in the field?  If so what brand and your thoughts.  Thanks

I use my iPad my buddy has a camcorder that he uses to check his cams and also films some of his hunts

I have the moultrie viewer , it's OK. It can copy a card to an internal card and them clear the cameras card for reuse. Problem is my 8mp camera with 1500 or so pics can take a long time to copy. Like 5 to 10 mins.

I switch all my cards out, so I am looking mainly to look at them when I am out.  I don't check cams past 9/28 ish unless I'm in the immediate area hunting.

have used the WGI brand and didn't care for it although have heard from others its good, I usually just browse and delete with the cam screen or swap out the cards and wait til I get home

I use my camera to get an idea of what is on the TC but it's very small . I also have a Photo Share device with a 7" screen but it is real slow going from pic to pic .

I just bought a cannon from amazon.  It  has a 2.7 inch screen and for the same price as the Moultrie reader I have a camera too.  Thanks again!

i have the wild game inn. one and i still swap cards but then when i got home if the cam was picking up weeds moving or something id have to go back and fix the problem, now i just check in the field and saves alot of time

I mainly wanted to look at the cards while in the tree..... something to do.   Something to make those anti-tech high priests of hunting on here to roll their eyes at!

Sometimes when I pull a card from a TC and try to view it , it will show no image .

When I get home and put the card in the computer I have pics .......

I used my digital camera till one time when what I would have deleted I saved the saw in the background a huge buck then the next couple of pics were a moose.I never saw it on my digital cam,but when I put it on my PC it showed me what I was missing.Most times when you have a "dead pic" of nothing.Take a minute and really check.You will be amazed as to what is in the background sometimes

Or, what i use most of the time is my portable automotive GPS, it has a (larger) card slot

I just pull the sd card out of my phone and put it in there to check them. I looked into a viewer. figured why buy one when my phone does the same thing. I can save the ones I want right to my phone and then delete the rest

The camera just came today....  battery is charging up.  I will look at the cards I already pulled last time out and should be using it Saturday when I am hunting.   I thought about my phone... but decided camera is better for me mainly to keep my phone as my phone.  Does that make sense?

Some trail cameras won't work if you change the card on a camera. My Nikon puts a file on the card if I delete a picture and puts a couple no image available on the card. I've checked moultries, deleted pictures and the camera wouldn't even turn on. Called tech and learned what I just shared above. I change the cards now and still check the pictures, just don't delete anything. Sure does pass the time knowing a big buck has been around you're stand recently.

Heard of people using digital picture frames. I know my card viewer screen is normally too small to see my high resolution images, so will be giving this a shot.
