If you get him it would be really interesting to do a DNA test. Very similar but then again, Long Island's deer population is isolated genetically from the mainland more or less. A lot of bug NTs have come out of there in the last few years, yours included. No matter what, the deer you have on camera is a big boy for sure. Good luck. I want to see close ups and more angles...

Sam, how do you do a DNA test? And what are bug NT's? This guy is about 200 yards away from where I got his dad. That one side is just like his. Hopefully soon I can put them side by side but I'm sure it wont be easy. Lots of other hunters in the area.

I don't know where you could do a DNA test but I bet one of the colleges that have deer programs would know. They might be able to use it in a study. First things first though- get him on the ground!
