WHAT ARE MY CHANCES?

I hunted last Tuesday and took a shot at a nice buck and unfortunately missed. Going back tomorrow which will be a week later. What are my chances this buck will walk down the same trail as he did a week ago. I plan on setting up slightly different to give myself a better shot if he shows up.

He ran off, paused about 40 yds away and then continued to run. I'm uncertain if he saw me. I stayed in stand for about an hour and then got down and left.

For all he knows is a tree branch fell, but he wasn't taking any chances so he continued on. I'd say your odds of seeing him again are fair. Maybe not on the same trail at the same time, but that deer didn't go far.

There's only one way to find out.  Same trail - doubtful, but hey, ya never know.  If there are hot does around, he could very well be back in that area.  Good luck!
