Pics from the radish plot

I set my cam on a scrape in front of this lonely oak sapling right in the middle of our radish plot. Some neat ones...

 

This guy is a great 1 1/2 year old. I really want to see him in 2 or 3 years. Potential!

yep, and been beaten down. No fertilizer, no lime, just scratch and plant.

Nope. We got a 6 foot tiller for next year. The plots are going to be done right, as we will start earlier and with the proper soil tests, etc. Heres a pic of the plot a couple of weeks before season...

They look like turnips to me too.

 

Hog radish is a daikon isn't it? Daikon is a green/white tuber.

I'll tell you what...bought both hog radish and turnips from turners agway...my hog radish grow up to 2ft long in and out of the ground was wht/green with long serrated leaves...been growing turnips for years and those are turnips

We got them from Turners, they said it was hog radish.

Either you got PTT by mistake or you were sold the wrong type of radish.

I'll tell you what if you can go out to that plot right now...and it doesn't smell like propane...rotting eggs...or your TV room after a turkey dinner...than those are turnips...LOL

Hehehehe...Gotta agree with the turnip folks...Those look just like the purple top turnips I planted this year..

 

The hog radishes/daikon radishes  look  dramatically different, both in the greens and the roots..

 

BTW...So far, the deer seem to prefer the turnips over the radishes

Btw grow, i was in the plot today, it doesnt stink
