New roof prices?

I'm going to tear the roof off at my cabin this spring and install a new green metal roof Ii was wondering if any one knows fought how much each sheet. Cost? I know you can get them In different width and lengths I'm looking for sheets roughly 3'x14'

Typical 29 ga from lumber yard on order will be around $3 a lineal foot.

Depending where you are sometimes you can find farm type suppliers running specials that could be less.....but I haven't looked around recent at whats about.

 Standard 3 ft. wide panel was around $3 a ft. the last metal roof I did which was in Sept. It's not the panels that kill you. It's the accessories.

You want jaw dropping.....ask for a price on matching coil stock.

Bottom line is there is no cheap way to do a roof and do it correctly.

When I got the metal for my camp (we used it on the exterior walls and the roof) we got it from MCBI in Rome. They have a seconds pile, but it doesn't come with a warranty. When they set up to make a  run the first sheets that come off in setting up the machines go into this pile. We couldn't find anything wrong with them. We had to play around a bit with their available colors and quantities but we got enough to do our walls in hunter green and the roof in white. We opted for a white roof because cooling for us is a bigger issue than heating. The cost was about half of what a new sheet was. Might be worth a call to them. They also bent the metal we wanted for the trim. The guys are right. the trim cost us more than the metal sheets did. We used the 3' wide profile.

Oh trust me....I know. Material prices are ridiculous! My labor hasn't changed in 10 yrs. There's just no room to increase with the material costs going up every few months. Plus I have to try and stay competitive with all the losers doing work just for beer $$. Everything goes up except my paycheck!

My place is in franklinville in the southerntier but ill give them a try maybe they deliver or can Recommend some one out my way I'm pretty pumped to get the new roof on here I have a lot of dry wall to replace in side but can't start that until the new roof is on and the place is dry Thank you for all of the Information guys. Buy next hunting season My cabin will be dry and have heat instead of leaking and no heat like it was this year lol

If you have the proper ventilation. Color of roof won't matter.

yeah, yeah. I know the drill. A light colored roof is still cooler than a dark one. Even with ventilation there can be a temperature difference. and when you are off the grid and rely on just windows for cooling, a few degrees can make a huge difference, especially in the loft.

Cold and leaky , reminds me of the trailer we used to have in franklinville , dumbest thing i never did was buy the camp off my uncle .

X2 on my run in shed,10' x 8' opening,sheets just on rafters with screws with rubber washers,just snugged.You can hear the sheetmetal expand and contract as the sun moves. Dark brown color.
